Come on! That's the best music video made... Ever! If only the J-boyz flew on Harley's or skateboarding on a damn fish in their music videos.

I want to say it's anything from REM, but I'll go with "The Cheeky Song":

I can't believe what I just read. You don't like JD Fortune? OMG --- I L-O-V-E him!!!!! "Pretty Vegas" is an awesome song to me. Too bad about all of JD's drug use & the problems he had handling sudden fame. I thought he honored MH beautifully. To me, JD had nothing but respect for the Hutch. I watched every single episode of Rock Star INXS & crossed my fingers at every elimination hoping JD would win the gig. I still like ya, Triple S, so please don't think I'm picking a fight here. It's just that I'd been meaning to ask you for quite some time now how you felt about JD Fortune, but something always kept me from asking.

I guess I got my answer. :(

Actually, Jason - it's not so much I don't like JD. I love Pretty Vegas also, and most of the other songs on Switch. I just have a really hard time listening to/watching him sing songs that Hutch wrote and made famous (and performed like only he could). And I absolutely wanted JD to win Rock Star INXS - he was the only one who came close to doing justice to the songs.

I guess you could liken it to the ones who don't want to hear anyone but SP sing Journey songs  .

At least when they had Carl Dixon singing with them, they weren't too bad (he's awesome and a very nice guy, I have met him). But even then, the fact they did/can use the name pisses me off.

edit - Here they are with Carl (he has quite a story, lucky to be alive)

Nobody can do Burton justice. He is flat out harder to imitate than anybody, SP and any other singer who hit ball-frying high notes included. He has the most unique voice I've EVER heard.

Come to think of it, that video didn't freak me out like Neal romancing a mannequin in the 'Chain Reaction' video!
The video is pretty funny, but if the Hoff breaks into a vocal rendition of 'Open Arms'... :P

Yes, I see what you're saying. Kinda like how Jana would feel if Journey ever replaced Neal. It wouldn't matter who they'd choose as a replacement, it just wouldn't be the same for her. BTW, did you know SP & MH share the same birthday?

Now, here's a little known me-personal "Fun Fact" for you: The "J" in JD Fortune stands for Jason. My first name's Michael (as in Hutchence) but I go by my middle name. Legally, I'm Michael Jason. Ooooo..... that's eerie ..... or maybe it's just eerie to me.

Yep, although JD was probably the best of the bunch. There is just no replacing Hutch.......he had that "it" factor. Some frontmen have it, some don't. You either naturally have that electrifying stage prescence or you don't, no matter how hard they strive to achieve it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLqzpBnCA2M
