This is a great topic, about a concept that's been lost for too many years.

Albums.

Its not so much that every song has to be a hit to be a 100% but that you can play it start to finish and enjoy it. A seamless flow if you will.

I have to give it to Babyface - For The Cool In You. That whole album flows song to song, fantastic. It stands the test of time.

One of my Favorite CDs. I saw him back in April and he sounded the same as when I saw him in Japan 25 years ago. His voice is ageless. He still tours over there regularly, They love him.

I've still got the Japanese version I bought over there because the base didn't have a huge library of CDs as it was a brand new format. You could really hear a big difference in quality between American CDs and Japanese releases at that time.

Listening to Harbor Lights while knocking boots with my Japanese girlfriend, didn't get much better than that. 8)

BTR is iconic, classic and timeless. It's tough to find "perfect" albums. Maybe a Beatles record or even Rumours, but I think BTR is the best ever written and performed.

The only album I'd rate above Born to Run is DARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN. :D

I don't know about any Styx album being a masterpiece, but I think this song is a masterpiece -

Suite Madam Blue Live 1996 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKlw-eoZGgo
