DMB blows. I've given him a few chances too. I did like one of his albums back in the 90s, but they are way too overblown and pompous now. Real jam music is stuff like Allman Bros... DMB is like a "diet" jam band. There is little to no emphasis on the electric guitar in his band... that's my biggest problem. Sorry, I can't sit there and listen to some guy play weird shit on an acoustic guitar and sax, drum, and violin solos all night long. If you're gonna "jam," strap on the electric guitar and let it rip.

" Dave Matthews has never had the No. 1 tour of the year," Pollstar editor Gary Bongiovanni said. "It's always been Madonna or Prince or (Bruce) Springsteen or (Paul) McCartney or U2 or the Rolling Stones. Consistency definitely mattered."

The Dave Matthews Band not only ended up with the highest cumulative concert gross from 2000 through 2009 -- at $529.1 million -- but the group also sold significantly more tickets during that period than any other act.

There goes my theory that their tickets must have been really pricey!

I don't think I could even name one of their songs.

From what I can tell, they're almost "Buffet-like" the way the hit the same areas every year. Round these parts, you can set your watch by their regional appearances. They've got a crazy- mad fanbase too. People go nuts for those fuckers. Never got it, myself. I like CRASH, and a few other tunes, but overall they just sort of annoy me.
