This SUCKS.

My first date with my girlfriend was at an Avenged Sevenfold/Buckcherry/Shinedown/Saving Abel show in late 08. I remember being blown away by A7X, especially The Rev. One of those especially talented drummers who could pound and sing at the same time.

A7X's best album is their most recent, I believe.. I really think the band was on the verge of making their deepest, most well-rounded and mature work yet.

R.I.P. The Rev.

Man, check out the songs "Afterlife," "Gunslinger," "Dear God," "Scream," and "Critical Acclaim."

I had a weird dream during my nap earlier, but it somewhat made sense.

I dreamed that Deen Castronovo left Journey, joined Avenged Sevenfold to replace The Rev, and with his talents they went on to become the gnarliest metal band of all time.

The Rev and Deen have similar skillsets and pedigrees, and both can sing.. so it made sense.

I know it won't happen though. Haha.

So, why again does Journey have an ad out looking for a new drummer? Oh, that's right...nevermind, it was just a bad dream. (bad joke too)

Sad for the Rev. RIP

How the hell does a 28 year old die of "natural causes"....

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Curious.

Especially considering Brittany Murphy, 32, died of "natural causes" just last week.

Something in the water in CA?

Natural causes generally just means no signs of foul play. Heart attack most likely since no matter how you die, ultimately it is a heart attack. Drugs, alcohol, brain aneurysm etc.. They all can lead to heart attack. They won't know any exact causes until after an autopsy.

I just tried to listen to Afterlife, fucking horrible.

How can you guys listen to this piss? That's some of the worst singing I've ever heard.

I can't believe people put these guys in the same league as Dream Theater.
