Dixie Chicks to Tour with Keith Urban, Eagles

I heard a lot of rumours that the Eagles were going to do a stadium tour with Fleetwood Mac this summer, that must of fell through.

Wow! I totally forgot about that. I wonder what DID happen to that?

Interesting... I wonder if egomaniac Henley and Frey didn't want The Eagles to "share" a bill? The appearance of "sharing" is very apparent with a FM. With Dixie Chicks and Urban, though they are popular, especially Urban, there's no doubt who the headliner is on that bill.

Good observation Sponge. Here's a question for you, for everyone actually.

Are the Eagles a rock band?

Yes, without a doubt. What would make you think they aren't?

I was being serious Matty. One could argue that they are a country-pop act; or maybe an folk-pop band. Don't get me wrong, I love the Eagles; I can care less about their character. However, I wouldn't label them as a rock band at all. Hell, they have had a CD where country stars did Eagles covers called Common Thread: The Songs of The Eagles that went to number 1 for a lot of weeks. Again, they are awesome, and you talk about a band who can sing? I used to think Journey could sing, but we all found out that the 2006 tour proved NONE of 'em could sing a lick, and when you stack them or any band against Henley, Frey, Schmidt, and even Walsh, I don't think many bands can compete with them.

Vocally, the Eagles still bring it. I'd love to go see them but if they're gonna be charging what I think they are...well, frankly that's just not in my economy this year.
