Damn straight! A friend I haven't seen in about 5 years died of a heart attack in his sleep last Friday. He was fit, healthy, had no history of heart disease, the only thing anyone knew was wrong with him was his blood pressure was a bit up; he was 42.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I heard from an ex-boyfriend awhile back after he left the hospital after a stroke (!!). Scary to think that he could have died from that and I never even knew.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Have any of you heard the 911 call? I can only speak for myself here- I react first and then break down after the fact when I think about the situation BUT- I've been in a similar situation with my boyfriend and I was tending to him the whole time. (He passed out and scraped his face and head on the countertop around his bathroom sink on the way down.) No one had to coax me to go to him and give him anything. His ex-wife doesn't seem as concerned as she should be to me. Just my opinion, I'm not judging. She could have been in shock I guess.

Could be. People react very differently to shock - and situations like this, who knows what was going on.
I haven't heard the call... but I mean for me, in a case like that, I'm more likely to act first and react (emotionally) and think later.
Maybe she just didn't know what to do.

She DID keep saying she was "panicked" and kept saying something about her seizures she might have. Sounded like fever but I think she said seizure. ??

People can act weird in shock. One of my neighbors quite a few years ago, she came banging on our door one night when I was home alone and screaming to please come help her husband, there's blood all over the bathroom, etc. She knows I'm a nurse, so I go running over there with her not having a CLUE what happened, trying to get her to tell me but she's hysterical, so I get in their house, head to their master bathroom, and sure enough he's in there and there IS blood all over the bathroom, but he's standing up over the sink... turns out he'd had nasal surgery earlier that day, and apparently had been swallowing blood all day not really realizing he was, and blood doesn't digest, and so... well I'm sure you can figure out where all that blood came from now, lol. Anyhow she's hysterical and didn't even call 911, and she wouldn't even come in the bedroom let alone the bathroom, so I had to call, and also try to keep this well over 6 foot tall BIG guy from falling down and help him while on the phone, while she's just standing in the living room hysterical, lol. He was fine, but yeah, people can freak out.

Ive seen grown people freak out over a big rubber snake my kids keep in the garden by our front door. I mean freak to the point where they are shaking, even after they know it's rubber and refuse to go near our door. They STILL wouldn't go near it. It doesn't surprise me that someone would react in such a way in a much worse and more panicked type of situation.

I freak out like that at bugs. Can't look at them on TV, even. I don't freak out to the point of shaking though, unless it's a real bug and it's near me. And I will only freak out bad if it's a real big nasty one. With very giant gross bugs, I have been known to cry and refuse to re-enter the room until someone gets rid of it. But I don't like them no matter what size and I don't want them near me and I make other people kill them.

I lived in AZ - the desert bugs are just as scary as the FL bugs!!

Rodents and lizards don't bother me though. I even like lizards. I used to have an iguana.

I dont' mind the lizards either. My kids like to catch them  I just hate when they get in my house because they are SO hard to catch! And I hate to find them shriveled up somewhere later! Lizards and non-venemous snakes do not bother me at all. They eat bugs and creatures Id rather not have. Our neighbors just chopped up a big black snake yesterday though, because it kept creeping into their yard because of their pool. I hate to see the "good" snakes killed. Im not really a "girl" when it comes to nature as long as they cant' hurt me  The only bug that totally grosses and freaks me out are ticks! So I don't camp much (in other words at all)

I hate spiders with a passion and used to freak out but lately for some unknown reason, I enjoy murdering the things. I think I got tired of them freaking me out.

I just read an interview from the after he died. She said she didn't want him to be like Muhammed Ali or Terri Schiavo. ALso saying she'd heard people were saying she pushed him and she didn't. Still seems weird to me but that's just my 2 cents.

A timeline would be quite helpful, did she say these things before the prognosis of his head injury or to justify them pulling the plug on dude?

We have to remember that things are not always as they appear.
A couple of years ago I purchased one of those electric hedge trimmers because it was on sale and I thought,
perhaps, I'd like to help out on occasion. My husband uses the big manual scissor looking things
…those are not for me!!
He wanted me to return it, but I kept it because he made it sound kind of like an order.
I was really excited to try this thing out, so I broke it out of the box immediately.
I did, however, want to make sure I kept the lines straight and clean because I
knew I would never hear the end of it if there was a dent in the bushes.
I very carefully placed my left hand right under the blade to balance it and
the darn thing practically chewed my finger off.
I was upset only because I knew it was going to be one of those “I told you so” moments.
But, I calmly walked out front where he was chatting it up with the neighbor.
Things moved very quickly from there, but I remember that he looked at me,
passed out, hit his head on the curb and had to be taken to the hospital in an
ambulance.
When I arrived at the hospital there were a LOT of questions...he was passed out cold
w/a large bump and gash on his head and apparently,
I had ground up tissue and blood splattered all over my face, shirt and hands
I was innocent. I wouldn't have pulled the plug, though!!

Not to laugh at such a thing... but wow... they must have thought you'd tried to kill each other.

If this were not 1979 (or 1980, I'm not sure which) my mom could have been in some deep hell at the hospital because of me.... this one had to look really really bad...

I was about 3 years old and I broke my arm... my mom and my oldest sister took me to the ER.
The nurse felt very bad for this poor little girl with the busted up arm and said "Aww, how did that happen, sweetie?"
The story that they won't let me live down is that I looked up at the nurse and said "mommy did it."

Well, ok, mommy didn't do it - I fell off a chair. But mommy was in the room and mommy was probably the one who scraped me off the floor, so when it came out of my mouth, it turned into "mommy did it." :o
