And there was much rejoicing!

And there was much rejoycing!
I passed my Praxis III. I am an official art teacher. Able to bore students with facts about dudes who have nothing to do with a guy named Fifta CEnT. Master and horder of art supplies........Bandager of boo boos that consist of exacto blades....scratch tools........burns from glue guns, wood burning tools.....etc......... Able to make students create art that they will throw away, loose, ore not give a crap about. Able to grade artwork at my own discression..........yes this is crap......no, snowbunnies in a snowstorm for a project will get you an invisable grade...........you know the kind...it looks like a big fat zero.

I am so psyched! I have so much I want to teach next year!

Hooray! Sounds like I should make another trip to the Art Gallery to pick up some more post cards for you ;)

Congratulations, GingerGirl. I'm sure you're going to make Favourite Teacher Number One :)
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Much deserved Ginger, your work speaks volumes and the dedication and talent is all but natural. Good luck with everything and the perks that come with officially becoming an art teacher. :D

Does this mean that I can submit my artwork to you now for a grade? How many gold stars can I get? :D

Thank you guys! I have been waiting 6 weeks for the results of the Observation. I think the lady observing me was a bit harsh on her grading..........but passing is passing, and I get nervous when I know I am being graded. Oh well I passed!!! :D I gave my class that I was being graded on an Ice cream party for their good behavior. They deserved it!

Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to really sit down and go to the canvas. One of these days I'll start back up once I have the time and hopefully get more into the ins and outs of art, hand coordination, judgment of the eye, anatomy and all of that stuff to where I can allow myself to advance in a lot of weak areas. Always was a hobby and it will continue to be throughout my life. 8)

Actually T-Bone, I had a student win two ribbons for stick figures. It was cool.........he drew stick figures skiing behind a boat making a stick figure pyramid, two stick figures manning the boat. A hanglider hooked up to a plane manned by stick figures.........and a scuba diver swimming in the water.

It was priceless!
