The plastic container that your Folgers came in is petroleum-based. Quite possibly from BP sources. Every time you use something plastic, put on make-up, and on & on....you use petroleum based products. You'd have to live like you're living in the 1800s to boycott petroleum. This thread is pointless.

I didn't say I was boycotting petroleum. I know that is impossible. I'm pissed at BP and the only way I have to act on it is to not knowingly buy their products. It's that simple. I know I'm not really accomplishing anything other than venting my ire in this small way.

I understand. You're certainly entitled to do what you think is right. The last half of my post wasn't necessarily directed to you specifically, just towards the original subject in general. Sorry for the confusion.
