I wanted to listen to Queen again, so I pulled up the Live Aid performance on YouTube - damn, Freddie Mercury was amazing. How many performers today can play live to an audience of 85,000 plus millions of viewers on TV and be phenomenal?
None - then or now (you need to borrow my Live Aid DVD or one of my Queen DVD's to really appreciate how he could command an audience). And speaking of commanding, this guy did a pretty good job too.

I can't believe I'm a child of the 80s, but I missed out on so much! My hometown was a great place to grow up, but it was in the middle of nowhere, so I missed out on going to concerts in Vancouver and Calgary. The exception was when Bryan Adams came there and played an outdoor concert that drew thousands of people from all over - that was awesome!
