Some amazing acoustic performances...

Postby G.I.Jim » Sun Aug 01, 2010 4:01 am

I saw this this morning, and it made me think of all of the cool acoustic performances I've heard over the years. We're used to hearing our favorite songs with full bands, electric guitars, etc... but some of the best performances are when the songs are stripped back to their original forms. Here are a few of my favorites,,,

1. Howard Jones- "No One Is To Blame"

2. Colin Hay- "Overkill"

3. Phil Collins- "In The Air Tonight"

4. Winger- "Headed For A Heartbreak"

5. Dokken-"In My Dreams"

6. Whitesnake-"Sailing Ships"

7. Foreigner- "Say You Will"

8. Queensryche- "I Will Remember"

9. Europe- "Superstitious"

10. Bryan Adams- "Cuts Like A Knife"

ACK! You beat me to this! One of my favorites and I thought of it immediate when I saw your thread! Add these two as well. :)

Queensryche - "The Killing Words"

Queensryche - "Della Brown"

Geoff Tate can totally get away with singing in a faux British accent, LOL!

What I'm posting seems very appropriate, since I just saw a Los Lonely Boys concert a week ago. Good stuff! :D
What's curiously missing from the band is keys.
These guys are just a huge talent with superb harmonies.
