Thought the ending was kinda dumb. Pretty good up until that final twist.
It's based on Clive Barker's short story. I like the ending. At least it shows there was an actual purpose to Vinnie Jones' character's killings.
Can't really discuss it without major spoilers, all I can say is the twist is cheap and lazy - true to the original story or not.
It's not like it was a tack-on.
But it's sooo out of left field and sooo lame, that it might as well be. In terms of storytelling, it's a total cop out. You might as well have had the main character wake up and discover that the movie was a dream.

Hollywood, as a whole, hasn't had an original idea in years. Have you notice all the remakes of old classic stuff, plus the American remakes of Japanese horror films? And I am not just talking the horror genre either. This is why I haven't been excited about any movie that has come out of Hollywood in years.

Preferably something grounded on planet earth. At it's most effective, "Meat Train" is a gritty, semi-realistic slasher. The ending feels like it came out of Vanilla Sky 2 or a totally different movie. I don't even think a motive is absolutely necessary. Some of the best horror films are wise enough to leave the unexplainable unexplained. Which, to be honest, is also a cop-out, but at least it doesn't detract from an otherwise good film.

You're not even excited about Tron Legacy?

Oh hell no! Why drag that piece of crap out again? It makes no sense.
