It's supposed to creep up to 109° and then start to settle down the rest of the week. We had a mild summer, one of the coolest on record, so I guess I shouldn't bitch. This should be the last hot spell, I'm hoping. We don't need hot temps with Autumn winds, the ground has recovered from the last fires we had.

It used to be (Overseas anyway) that the dayshift was allowed two beers for lunch. I don't know know if that was just an Air Force thing or not but nothing beat going to the Airman's club at Clark, RP and throwing down some brews with lunch while watching the Filipina dancers (they weren't allowed to take off their bikinis at the base clubs but it was good enough since we were on duty anyway). Definitely a third world environment ON and off base back then.
