Bryan Adams - Bare Bones Live

Postby Memorex » Mon Nov 01, 2010 7:03 am

A friend of mine gave me a copy of this new CD. I'm surprised at how good it is. I'm a fan anyway, but this is just really well done. I think the set-list was voted on by fans and they picked a good mix. Just him on guitar and singing. Some songs have piano.

This site has a few previews:

A lot of his hit songs made it onto movie soundtracks...that's how I learned about Bryan Adams. Can't say these stripped down versions do more for me than listening to the original. But I'm sure his fans will enjoy them tremendously.

Bryan's in fine fine voice there....marvellous. Track list is a little shit though. Too much of his more recent pap.

The fans picked the songs they wanted. Not BA's fault Andy. Hell, you could have had him sing the Spirit soundtrack so be happy.

I guess all the girls voted for the songs. Fuck me....pre-85 is ignored...mainly his 90s pap here. But he does sound great. Time to rock again Bry.

Won't happen. I just read over on his site, that he thinks it's highly unlikely he will ever record an album with a full band again. He says he is concentrating on the acoustic sttings and this type of music. He also says he is so disillusioned with the music business, that he cannot stand the business side of it. However, after all of that, he says he will tour "with his band" again in a few years, so at least we can go see him and Keith Scott tear it up plugged in.

Shit, really?

Well...I can't6 blame him, or anyone else for that matter. This business is the toilet. But I can continue to wish...

Yeah, sorry I didn't link it, but it is definitely over there in one of his recent interviews. I was disappointed too. He knows he can't make inroads or any money off a plugged in album...He knows the money is in touring. I also think he may be tired of playing the same old hits nightly that he can do in his sleep(full band). The acoustic road allows him to improvise and control even more of his direction than with the full band.

And for you, he does one song in a pretty good Springsteen voice. It's funny.

BA may have a better voice than Bruce, but he isn't half the singer Bruce is.

Bryan's Unplugged Album absolutely RULES. Great record. I played the hell out of it.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.
