Congrats to the S.F Giants, but what a terrible World Series. I wish football would never end...

Props to the Giants. Their pitching really shut Texas down.

Also nice to see Bruce Bochy get a ring. Good guy and a quality manager.

It used to be almost like that. Philadelphia Stars, New Orleans Breakers, Pittsburgh Maulers...Good times with the USFL and a lot of great players too (Steve Young, Jim Kelly, etc.)

What IS it with Texas teams folding like cheap tents when the pressure is on? Sigh ...

Congrats to the Giants and their fans.

Two times, Texas folds in the series, two times against a team that pulled DSB as their anthem.

Hmm. Amusing.

Good to see a new team win one, a team that really deserves it too, with some great fans.

But as someone who loves watching the World Series and wasn't particularily cheering for one of the teams over the other, Anything short short of at least six games series with plenty of close games is disappointing. Couldn't have Giants thrown one, so they could win it back in the Bay?

As I was at City Hall last night watching the game on the big screen, I was thinking of my dad, who was a huge Giants fan. I have so many childhood memories of him out working in the yard with the Giant's game blasting on the little AM radio. We went to games together when I got older and realized I liked baseball, and those are some of my favorite memories.

I wish Dad could have been with me last night to see his Giants finally win the WORLD SERIES!

I totally understand. So many years devoted to supporting this franchise. Good years, bad years, a couple near misses, a major earthquake, the team amost moving, the bitter cold of The Stick, the beauty of "new" park, etc. This is for all the SF Giants fans whether they are here to watch with us or not.

Why the Hell are you "dancing?" You live in the South. Are you telling me you are dancing because Espee is a Giants fan? Good fucking grief. If Gowan is a Cliuppers fan, does that mean you will be doing cartwheels if they win 14 games this season? Jesus Christ already.

I also just LOVE the way Texas dominated the poll here, until the Giants took a three to one game lead, and then last night in the 7th inning, the Giants pull ahead in the poll. Yeah, the Loons are real good sports fans.
