This story's been circulating for over a week now. I think it sounds MIGHTY fishy. It allegedly happened in a parking lot that is always PACKED on game day all day long, yet there have been no corroborating witness reports, the family didn't file a police a report, and has been remiss about accepting any gestures of good will from either the Jets or the Browns.

I'm not saying it couldn't have happened, as there are some pretty crazy fans out there, but this would seem low even for the rowdiest Browns or NFL fan. I just would like to see more proof before I believe it. Right now, it sounds like balloon boy to me.

In fact, this is way out of left field conspiracy theory stuff, but this story originated with ESPN, which has never hid its utter contempt for lowly Cleveland. I wouldn't put it past them to circulate something like this in order to make the city look bad with LeBron's not-so-triumphant return home coming up a week from Thanksgiving.
