Death Threats...

Postby Rip Rokken » Thu Nov 25, 2010 11:29 am

Read an article earlier that they had to significantly step up security at Dancing With The Stars because of death threats toward Bristol Palin. What the hell is the deal with people? I can't relate to anyone who can't respect the sanctity of human life, and I think they should be caught, strung up and disemboweled like pigs.

If you had a choice between offing or boffing Natalie Maines, what would you do? What would the price-point be to make you change your mind?

If you had a choice between offing or boffing Natalie Maines, what would you do? Would you change your mind if a million dollars was involved?

I think Bristol is hot. In fact I'd like to party with her and her mom at the same time.

Ditto, I will gladly volunteer to be their sexual guinea pig.. I wish her mom would shut up and just take her clothes off, do a porno and make us all happy.

You'd think that someone vying for any kind of political significance would have taught her kids how to behave and play nice in public. You have one daughter calling people "f*gs" and "f*ggot" on Facebook for criticizng her mom, and the other one telling Dancing With The Stars that her main reason for wanting to win was to "give the middle finger to people who hate her and her mom".

You'd think they'd understand that with their mom being a public political figure, she is going to be hated and criticized. They don't seem to realize that it comes with the territory.

That's exactly true. They don't seem to understand at all, and take everything personally. G. W.'s girls weren't always great in the press, either. I don't know, I have no idea what it's like to be under that kind of constant, intense public scrutiny, but I'd think one of the first orders of business would be to educate the kids on what they can and cannot do or say with the world watching. I mean, good lord -- are they going to start slinging the "N" word around next?

Christ she isn't even old enough to drink yet!

Whatever you think positive or negative about Sarah Palin, the poor kid has been put through the ringer, and a child shouldn't be attacked for the faults of the parents.

She is not her mom, she is not a politician, she is just a young woman, single mother, with a dip-shit for the father of her kid and a mom who is a politician, she is not a politician herself, and if those who expect Bristol to act like one are idiots. Her comment about the middle-finger is entirely keep with her age.

I have to disagree - unless she has a total impulse control disorder, she's plenty old enough to follow some simple instruction in that regard. How hard is it to tell someone not to attack people with slurs on Facebook? Simple parenting.

You can disagree all you want...you are still wrong...remember back to when you were her age...did YOU listen to your parents at that point? Thought so...you are wrong. And what slurs on Facebook are you referring to? I didn't see anything about that.

You're absolutely right. Despite that the ONLY reason she is still there is because of the far right wackjob nutcase Tea Partiers who continue to vote for the skank, but yes, her life should mean something and threats are not cool.

However, I bet you wouldn't be writing this thread if say, Chelsea Clinton was winning and she received death threats.

I would...regardless of what the parent has done, who they are, and their level of fame, their kids should be left out of the fray.

Would YOU want your kids judged on how you lived your life?

That is a different subject all together...and NOT germane to the discussion.

That has to do with the voting rules on DWTS, not if it is right for someone to get a death threat. Stay on topic...

Others will know this, but I stole that line from Sherrif Buford T Justice, of Texas, when he was chasing the Bandit and he was talking to Sherriff Brandford of the Alabama Highway Patrol. Justice spoke into the radio, "This is Sherriff T Justice of Texas. I'm in high speed pursuit of a black Trans Am, he's all mine, so stay out of the way." Branford told Justice, "Your jurisdication is not germane to the situation." To which Justice replied yelling into the walky talky, "The Goddamn Germans got nothin' to do with it!"

LOL I know. And the point wasn't that many hated her, except I guess some kooks. The uproar was she was an average dancer who showed average emotion on the dance floor and ended up in the top three despite being at the very bottom of the leader boards by the judges, and it looked like she really might win because of Sarah's fans voting over and over and over. I liked her okay and it was good to see her progress up to a certain point. Then really great dancers like Brandi got knocked off and that's when it got ugly, I guess. But, oh, well, if people were so upset they should have been voting for the better dancers.

Hey, I'm no Palin hater btw -- I can't speak for their parenting skills, but I think she's pretty cool, lol. I also recognize when someone's getting an unfair shake in the press, and she's definitely one of them.

About the kids though, of course I didn't listen to my parents, but neither of them ran for V.P. of the United States like Sarah Palin did. That was two years ago. You don't think those kids got at least some coaching on dealing with the public? Here's that story:

http://www.aolnews.com/surge-desk/artic ... k/19721860

The gossip site TMZ reports that the episode began when "Tre," a boy who apparently went to school with the Palin clan, posted his thoughts on the family's reality show debut Sunday evening.

"Sarah Palin's Alaska, is failing so hard right now," he wrote on his Facebook wall.

According to the website, which has obtained screen shots of the exchange, the teenage daughter of the former Alaskan governor retaliated by calling the boy "gay" and a "f****t."

"Haha your so gay. I have no idea who you are, But what I've seen pictures of, your disgusting ... My sister had a kid and is still hot," Willow Palin apparently wrote on Facebook. "Tre stfu. Your such a f****t."

Then, Bristol Palin chimed in, too. "You're running your mouth just to talk s***," the 20-year-old "Dancing With the Stars" finalist told Tre. After more people began to criticize the new reality show, Bristol appears to have taken aim at another Facebook user by the name of "Jon," though she used no expletives this time.

"You'll be as successful as my baby daddy, And actually I do work my ass off," Bristol writes. "I've been a single mom for the last two years."

Nice... Apparently the handlers got to them and they had to do some damage control.

Late Tuesday night, Bristol apologized on her official Facebook page.

"Willow and I shouldn't have reacted to negative comments about our family. We apologize.

"Nevertheless, I recognize that my family has been given a great honor and privilege to make a difference in this country, and even though I am just 16, more is expected of me,"

I'm not judging them as bad people -- I'm just making a strategic observation, lol, and I'm not wrong. They may not be mature, but they are both plenty old enough to understand (or learn) how this all works in politics, and no way someone hasn't told them. They would have to be idiots not to understand. My original point was just incredulity over the fact that after being Governor of Alaska and a V.P. candidate, Palin's kids would still be making these kinds of mistakes.

Are you fucking serious? How has the press not given Palin a fair shot? You mean to tell me sweet ol Katy Courik should have pre questioned smart ol Governor Palin as to which newspapers she has read? Are you being serious here? The woman is a complete retard. She went to the University of idaho for Christs sake! Idaho? LOL, is a shitty school. Palin brought this upon herself, along with McCain. He didn't do a very good job vetting her....the media has a responsibility to the citizens of this nation, and vetting a prospective candidate to the Oval Office is necessary. The fact Palin handled herself extremely poor is not the fault of the media. Of course Fox News was easy on sweet little Sarah....they aren't even real news anyway.
