A Fine Frenzy (Alison Sudol) isn't Canadian, but I like this song:

Couldn't get the Sarah Harmer track over here, but I will check her out. However, I have to say the Chantal Keviazuk blew me away. Absolutely fantastic. Never heard of her before and i am now off in search of her CD. I love it when the folks on this site take a break from arguing and post about music. There is always some great stuff posted.

If anyone is interested check out Ezio.

Check out Canadian Amy Sky also. I can't do YouTube links right now - but I did post one of her and Colin James in the Christmas Tunes thread.

Already familiar with Amy Sky, she has done some good stuff with Marc Jordan. Speaking of great singer/songwriters, there's one right there.

That's who sings those songs - I recognized the voice as soon as I brought up some of Amy Sky's stuff on YouTube. I saw Chantal Kreviazuk about 7 years ago when she played an outdoor concert at Rideau Hall for Canada Day and she sounds amazing live. No autotune necessary for her!

Sarah (seems we have a lot of singers named Sarah) Slean has some not-bad stuff - I've seen her live, pretty mellow but she was fairly entertaining. I don't mind this song:

And love this one - showcases her beautiful voice

She even has a song called 'Duncan' - really! I'd post the link but it's a weird song

They are plenty of great new/newer bands out there, but those whom are stuck in the 70's/80's won't find them.

Here's a clue...Get Sirius XM radio and explore....You'll here a lot of great NEW music not heard on the FM dial.

And I thought
I was hearing a new band on The George Lopez show ...FILTER, they sounded pretty interesting and Richard Patrick wrote/cowrote
most of their stuff on their new cd The Trouble w/Angels!! Course then I found out they've been around since the 90's, I believe! :?
