Went to bed last night and was woken up by thunder snow! Ever heard of it? I haven't. I grew up in Oregon and Canada and saw a lot of snow, but last night, we got 4 or 5 inches here (and counting!), and had one of the worst thunderstorms I've seen. FREAKY AS HELL!!! It was a very cool sight though. I googled it, and it's very rare. They say it usually only happens in late winter/early spring, and is most likely to happen around the coast where warm ocean temps mix with the incoming snow.

We've had a very strange winter here in S.C. this year. We got several inches of snow on Christmas for the first white Christmas since 1887! It's all that damn global warming. There have been records broken all over the world this winter. I think it's because we're heading into the next man-made Ice age. Damn SUV's!!!
