Check CostCo if you're a member. I got that big TV I have in my apartment for $600. That was also almost 2 years ago. 50" LG, great display, only 720p, but still. Also lots of other good deals and a FANTASTIC return policy. Are you gonna start gaming?

It's for my girlfriend's 14 year old son. He's a gamer. If the TV was for me, there wouldn't be a fucking budget.

I was gonna say, did you change your last name to end in -stein or -berg?

Both are 32 inch 1080p, LCD, not LED but staying in your budget. Don't buy a brand you have never heard of. I don't care how good the reviews are, my kid works at Best Buy and he can attest that the no name or store brands are crap.

My gamer sons ordered their monster TVs from Newegg.com; supposedly the prices can't be beat and the gamers' reviewers on the site told them what they wanted to know about which models to get.

We've bought stuff there for years and years -- computers, computer parts, TVs; it's all come in good shape & customer service has been good on the few things we needed to return.

If you need more, PM me & I can hook you up with a geek kid; I've got 3 to pick from ...

Return policy from an online distributor was my only worry and you just answered it. :)

This 42" LG is one of THE best TVs out there ( within the price range). Free Shipping ;) perfect for gaming :)
If you buy this and aren't happy with the quality , not only can you send it back for free , but I'll even buy you a case of your favorite beer next time we hang out. ;)

I just picked up a 32inch 1080 p 60hz lg to use as my computer monitor, i paid 314 shipped to my door, really happy with it so far, the color is so much more truer than the acer monitor i have, as well as the 42 inch vizio i bought a couple years ago.

Just found this deal SJ at amazon, not bad for a 240hz 1080p tv . http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-SV421XVT-42 ... slicinc-20
