Terrible news from the Outfield...

John Spinks' cancer has returned, this time to his lungs.

OFFICIAL BAND STATEMENT

It is with much regret that we announce that John Spinks has just recently had an unexpected relapse in his battle with cancer. After years of cancer free liver scans, John has been informed the cancer has returned, this time in his lungs. Treatment will begin next week, but John has made it clear he has no intention of stopping work on the new record. However, this will affect future tour plans until further notice. During this time, John would appreciate privacy and understanding for him and his family during the weeks ahead. The overwhelming and continued support from the fans and music industry is very much appreciated. There is not a single day that goes by that John takes that for granted. Thank you for your understanding.

Love and Peace – The Outfield

This is the worst news I have heard in quite a while. I am crushed.

I pray he gets well. I seen them open up for Journey here in Seattle in 86. One of the best shows I been too.
