Im not big on remakes but this was a great job. This is the anti-Twilight of Teenage vampire movies. If you prefer more horror over sap, get this on Blu-ray or DVD.

Haven't seen the remake, but the Swedish version sucked. Absolutely nothing happened, except seeing the snatch of a underage, vampire girl.

This has more blood and less tush/zero bush but it is still a romance, more than anything.

Other than the cheesy, poor-quality special effects on her attacking the guy in the tunnel, this was an awesome movie! I have to admit, I wasn't expecting much, but my wife rented it and I LOVED it.

Yeah, I noticed the jerky effects also. I was sceptical as I wasn't one of those who thought this girl was "all that" in Kick Ass but she impressed me here. I also think they did a good job of capturing the early 80s look.
