ATM shows gift shop charged me twice

Does this make sense to anyone? I do a lot of shopping and this has never happened so I think this gift shop is
lying to me.

Yesterday I was a gift shop down at the gulf coast and bought something for $45.25.
I used my ATM card.
This morning it shows the transaction twice=it does not say pending anywhere on there.

When I called to complain to the store this morning they insist that one charge will fall off on Monday morning due to pending,
this makes no sense since this wasn't a credit card, this came straight out of my account as a withdrawal.

Ideas? I don't want to wait and have to call again from work on Monday~

Steve call the bank where your ATM card is issued from and they will resolve the problem. It will take a business day.

I've had this happen a few times and generally it does fall off. But occasionally it doesn't. Just keep an eye out for a couple days then report it.
