I'm all over Green Lantern. It was hilarious how everyone who thought the movie was going to blow based on the first teaser changed their minds when the second trailer with more action was released. :D

I don't remember what it was rated, but it felt like a PG-13 to me. Very little in the way of carnage. Jane even ends up befriending a ragtag group of misfits that live in his apt. complex.

Actually, that's exactly what happened in the comic -- Garth Ennis' "Welcome Back Frank", which the movie was based on. Unfortunately the film didn't capture the dark satirical humor of the story though, which is what made the comic so great. "Welcome Back Frank" was much in the spirit of a good Judge Dredd story in that respect, and I'm guessing there was some inspiration there. Also, John Travolta just sucks anyway, and is completely unconvincing as a bad guy or even just an intelligent guy for me. He excels when he's doing Vinnie Barbarino or Look Who's Talking. That's his only talent. :)

That's actually what Lexi Alexander got exactly right that the Tom Jane film did not - the dark, campy humor, at least from "Welcome Back Frank"... I haven't read any other modern Punisher stories to know if that was a consistent tone -- the original stories I read as a kid were played seriously.
