Except for my college years, I have lived my whole life in the NYC suburbs. I remember when 101.9 was jazz music. When they switched to their rock format, I started listening more. The only problem I had with WRXP is that there was too much variety in the type of songs they played. I have the stream up right now. AC/DC is playing, which is great, but right before it was a song from some punkish band called Goldfinger that I didn't much care for. I always found myself having to flip away from WRXP when they played a song from a genre I don't care for, usually over to Q104 or WDHA (New Jersey's Only Classic Rock), and sometimes CBS-FM for an oldies fix. Their programming tended to hold me there longer. I have XM radio in my car now, so don't listen to terrestrial radio all that much anymore. Flipped to 92.3 the other day to see what kind of music they are playing now. I am never going there ever again.
Now onto Grateful Dead on the stream. Not a big fan, but Touch of Grey is a song that I do like.
