Motley Crue and Poison this weekend

Postby AR » Wed Aug 03, 2011 8:11 am

I have never been a fan much of either band. Have to give credit though, I really enjoyed the show in Scranton, PA on Sunday. Motley's intro was a pyro blast without warning. No light drop, no obvious song or indication that they were coming out. Very shocking and very cool.

Saw Motley Crue, Whitesnake and Poison at a Day on the Green show back in 87 I think it was. Though not a real fan then of any of them except Whitsnake, they all put on a spectacular live show. I thought Whitesnake should have been the headliner back then (and maybe they should have been), but the Crue as headliners put on an incredible show of lights, pyro, lasers, screens, etc. This was the era when Tommy Lee was doing his upside down spinning drum kit solos. Fun time.

Bad clip, awful audio. But just check out how unexpected the start of the show is.
