I talked to my daughter a bit ago and this thing is pretty tame. She's just north of the eye, so it'll get a bit worse as that approaches, but should be all down hill from there.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

I have a full keg of beer and 90 cans as backup. Bring it on! 8)

Not that bad here yet, but the wind is picking up. 5pm until 1am EST will be the worst of it for us. Power outages are the main concern. I had co-workers without power for several days after Isabel in 2003.

Knock on wood - this is NOTHING right now in Baltimore. Wind is not bad, plenty of rain.

So far so good. Overhyped here for the time being.

Well it is really wicked here in St. Mary's County!!! They are starting to have manditory evacuations in SoMD! The worst is yet to come, around midnight and we have about 10-12 hours more to endure of this wild weather!

A driving rain here in upstate NY...winds are currently around 35 mph, it's 70 degrees, and the lesbo couple across the street are putting up some tiki torches on their screened-in patio. WTF?

We survived here in SoMD. Lost a huge oak tree in back, thankfully it didn't hit the house. Our neighbors didn't fair so well, one of their large oaks went right through their roof!!! Lots of flooding in the surrounding area and trees down everywhere!! At least our power came back on a short while ago!

Thoughts are with those who sustained damage in this hurricane, especially in Vermont which is almost completely under water!!
