They've remade "Footloose"

Postby Peartree12249 » Sat Oct 08, 2011 2:45 pm

A new version of "Footloose" is coming out soon. Here's a video with music by Blake Shelton. Not bad, but I still like Kenny's version better.

If they remake Breakfast Club, I'm going to go burn something down.

When you do that, would you please do it in Obama's front yard?

I've never seen the original. It's never been on my to-do list. I don't intend to see the new one either. Although, I freaking love Julianne Hough, one of the sexiest women of our time.

That's all they do anymore...Hollywood doesn't have many original ideas any longer...Avatar being an exception...great flick!

The first movie was an abomination, I doubt the remake will be any better.

For me it would be a remake of Bueller....? Bueller....? Anyone seen Ferris Bueller....?

Just woke up, logged on to MR.com to see what's new. Chose to read this thread first. Got to your comment and went from groggy and all sleepy-eyed and shit to literally LOL! If I gotta be up this early on a Saturday, it's nice to read something that put me in a good mood right off the bat! Thanks Don!

Now, with that said..... hang on to your hats kids, one night last week, Inside Edition or ET (can't remember which, and it doesn't matter really...) did a quick report on the remaking of Footloose and listed a few of the 80's cult classics which have already been green lighted. I can't remember specifically which ones they were but there was at least 5 or 6 in the list (it's 5:30am here so cut me some slack  ). The wife and I even commented on a coupe of them after seeing the report and were somewhat angered (not really, but sorta) that they would even think that remakes were necessary and/or a good idea. When I wake up here in a bit, it'll come to me which ones they mentioned and I'll post them.
