Mr Big are blessed in that department, they have killer 4 part harmonies/backing vocals, check it out.......accapella ~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1dfsT59fMs (PG, BS and PT giving EM a break for at least '1' song)

No worries of a tapegate with MB, that's one band that's 100% live.

Blessed? Easy there big fella. They're decent, but far from a super vocal group. I know of many rock bands, and even country acts no less that could sing circles around MB. They couldn't touch Rascal Flatts in this or next century. You need to take off the MB Only glasses.

I was talking about hard rock bands (not country, pop or manufactured bands), there's not that many that have all members that can actually sing and quite well. Not too many rockers are going to sound as good as that acapella. They are written up quite often in reviews about their harmonies.

He sure does. I love Arnel, but I STILL would have loved to have seen them do a record with Soto. I think it would have been a monster.

He does. In retrospect, though, if he had made the record with Journey, he would have had to tour it, and while I'm sure he may think he's bionic, it may have ended his career. He's a baritone that is lucky enough to be able to hit tenor, but for how long?

To me, Michael Anthony is the "Steve Perry" of Van Halen Backing Vocals...
...there is NO MISTAKING THAT VOICE.

Ah what a great line, the Perry of backing vocals no kidding! One of my favorite things about VH and both Chickenfoot albums (and my favorite thing in the foot) is those Anthony vocals! He's totally amazing! I was walking around the Concourso Italiano in Monterey in August and Michael walked right by me and I said hi. Really wish I'd said great vocals as well!
