Arnel can at least sound a little like Perry, Gowan sounds like freakin' Getty Lee.

This coming fcrom YOU surprises me. Anyone else wrote this I wouldn't bother even res[ponding,. but you aren't the typical dumbass poster Donald. You are in the upper echelon of knowledge, not in the abyss like levels of Babyblue(clueless), Nora(weird). or say perryswoman(creepy moniker name).

Look, Pineda sounds NOWHERE near Perry. Big deal, he sings the songs in key, well, has the ability to do so anyway(they are always tuning down), but this isn't even opinion, let alone mine- Pineda not only fucks up the Perry classics to the level of embarrassing, but his voice in no way has that idealic tone quality. Please allow the Pinoys to come in here and repeat that stupid shit like "Perry who?" and "AP should have done the Super Bowl Halftime show."

On the other hand, during the Main Event 2003 Tour, where REO cleaned Journey's clock, and Styx thus cleaned Speedwagon's, I thought Gowan was damn good. I immediately recall him sounding "like DeYoung" to a T! Yeah, the spinning fruity assed carousel is gayer than GI Jim's posts, as is LG's wardrobe, but I think dude has some serious talent. If you think about it, he has more to offer music than Jonathan fucking Cain. They both play a decent piano and keys, BUT Gowan can sing, whereas Friga mimes. yes people, Friga mimed that piece of shit song, Every generation the entire tour....yes, the same tour Augeri mimed entire concerts, The frig mimed his one and only song. I guess Cain wanted to keep the entire show fake, not just 95% of it.

I've seen him three times and he always kills it. Pound for pound, I think these guys might just be in the best overall music shape of all their contemporaries and it leads me to conclude that they would be my most desired AOR reunion.

Shaw and JY still play solid guitar, Shaw still sings pretty well, DDY seemingly hasn't lost a step with his voice etc. Moreover, they can still write as Cyclorama and 100 Years demonstrate (granted Cyclorama was a while ago). Compared to Journey, where Neal has gotten sloppy and repetitive, Perry obviously can't sing anymore, Friga doesn't seem to enjoy it or have the inspiration to write fresher songs, and Ross's mummy merely plays bass root notes etc. Then you have Foreigner: Mick Jones looks about 85, Lou Gramm gets props for being out there singing but he's done, and who knows or cares about the other originals. I dunno, sure seems like a Stxy reunion would be comparatively awesome.

I'm fine (and suspect DDY would be fine with) Gowan staying on keys. I like the guy a lot. Enjoy seeing both bands really.
