Great idea to play if it feels right and they enjoy it, very bad idea to wear the "Beatles" noose around their neck in the form of a name. No way there will be another Beatles and to even insinuate the name is a joke - I don't care who you are.

They could do something like pick a Beatles song name as their name, or point to their relationship through some name, but they immediately invite criticism if they choose to include the word Beatles in their name. To be a second generation of something such as this, you better be better.

For them not to include Julian is a joke. The dude's a genius.
While I like the Beatle kids, I think this is really not a great idea.
They should've just done something quietly on their own.
I HIGHLY doubt "Beatles" will be anywhere in the band's name.
The press will not let it go though and that will get old VERY quick
to them.

Zak's a killer drummer btw.

I thought Julian is Lennon's kid. Isn't his name Julian Lennon?

They're including Sean Lennon, not Julian.

Julian looks and sounds more like his dad. But I am sure if a reunion is to be had ... Yoko would never allow Jules to do it. Not to say that Julian would want to...sometimes I think memories of his father are not always great ones. Sean is Yoko's son. He doesn't sound near close enough to John if you ask me.

I am presently doing a drawing of Julian in regards to his environmental efforts. He is in a woods surrounded by my "kind of creatures". I will share it when it is closer to being done.

This idea makes me cringe. They wouldn't be doing it because they "enjoy playing". If that were it they could form any band they want with anyone they want. They'd be doing it BECAUSE they are Beatle kids and there's a novelty with that, and even referring to it in any way as some 2nd generation this proves that. Poor idea. I'd much rather see all of them doing their own gig than forcing some "NuBeatles" thing. Ugh. Thank god Zak has the integrity to stay out of such a plan. That dude is killer on his own. Far superior drummer to his pop. :D

Biggest non-event/buzzkill ever. Are they going to call themselves The Coattails? Anything they'd record would sound like a pastiche of a Beatles song (as if we need anymore). It would suck. Remember World Party? The singer/guitarist Karl Wallinger? He was a wannabe Beatle, too. And World Party SUCKED.

Heard some of the Harrison kid's stuff. Phew. Weak vocals. He's got nothing on his dad, I'm afraid.

Just fergeddit, blokes. Fuggedaboudit and move on.

Like that would be hard. Didn't John say "Ringo isn't even the best drummer in the Beatles" because Paul would redo many of Ringo's parts?
