All the football players there now not only can transfer immediately, they can also transfer without penalty after this season is over. I think 2013 is when everyone jumps ship and schools like Akron get the chance to finally beat a Division one program.

The town gets to keep their six weekends of football a year which is what they wanted and probably one of the main reasons why the school has already gone on record this morning as accepting all sanctions and fines completely and willingly.

2013 Penn St. Football team first team in NCAA history to not have enough players to field and ironman team.

The NCAA has also granted the current players the option of not participating in athletics at all while still completing their studies without losing their scholarship.

I would have liked to see a serious house cleaning added to the list of penalties, along with more convictions with prison sentences and a few more zeros added to the monetary fine. But that's just me.

The NCAA also says money for the fines cannot be taken away from funding other athletic programs at Penn State. The school has always had a world class women's volleyball team so good news for those kids.

Fair ...a slap on the hand really, for the severity of the crime.
It's just a shame the actions of a few have caused so many
to suffer ...the children primarily, YES ...
