You'll be hard pressed to find a classic rock band that harmonizes as well as they still do. What I still find hard to believe is that they produce such a full "big" vocal sound live with KC on leads and just Amato and Hall providing the backing vocals - (although it would be surprising if they weren't providing a little bit of orchestration via pre-recorded, mixed-in vox.) Even so, they still bring it and they still sound great!

I actually think their harmonies are the real deal, or at least they were as of a few years ago. Check out the XM Sessions DVD they included with the Find Your Own Way Home CD. You can hear them practice the Roll With The Changes harmony before they start and make some adjustments. Pretty impressive. See here:

Yup, that's the real deal for sure as is their Sound Stage performance(s). The only reason I even mentioned the possibility of them using additional backing vox is due to the fact that it is almost surreal how "full" Amato and Hall's vocals are it just seems like there has to be more coming from somewhere.  But, that can also be achieved with the expertise of an awesome sound engineer, decades of practice and the best sound system money can buy - which they obviously have so....... The 2 songs that just blow me away every time I hear them performed live are Keep On Lovin' You & Time For Me to Fly - especially the acapella part where they belt out "Time for me to fly...." always in perfect harmony and such a big, big sound.

I don't have an issue with canned backing box anyway, but I'd be disappointed if they were using them just because they are so capable on their own. At any rate, always a good live show.

Setlist from tonight

Don't Let Him Go
Music Man
Take It On The Run
Keep Pushin
Golden Country
Can't Fight This Feelin
Son Of A Poor Man
Like You Do
Back On The Road Again
Time For Me To Fly
Roll With The Changes
Keep On Lovin You
Ridin The Storm Out
157

Kinda pissed that the two good trouble acoustic tunes weren't played. That all that I at least wanted
to hear. I guess that is the downfall with having an opening band (tyler bryant & the shakedowns).

BTW small gripe here. Why at just about every show do I get glances from people? Is it because
i'm a kid and i'm not supposed to know these songs or something? (yes I do sing every song 8) ).
You do see me wearing the band's t shirt right? Sigh carry on.

Hey, I heard of those guys. Tiki Barber was talking about them during the SuperBowl pre-game; said their singer got the job by winning a big Karaoke contest. Yep, I know who you're talking about.
