Today is the anniversary of the first televised Major League Baseball game. In 1939 the Dodgers hosted the Cincinnati Reds for a double-header in which the Dodgers won the first game 6-2 with the Sox taking the second one 5-1.

Now, that's all wonderful and cool and all that but what I'm wondering is who the Hell watched it? Image I mean how many people actually had a TV in 1939? Most people didn't have one until late into the 50's and nobody had a color set until the 60's. Hmm....
