That bastard!

So the album is simply great. Epic. Huge sound. Everything I've come to expect and hope for. So good that I went against my judgement and bought three versions. It was my mistake to buy the Amazon version because the iTunes version was virtually the same but with one additional track. So my bad. So I ended up getting the best buy and iTunes versions as well. So over $30 on this. ARGH!

The bonus songs are ok, but don't fit all that well into the rest of the album. Maybe I'll feel differently after a few more listens. The Bug seems to fit the most, musically.

Anyway - do yourself a favor and spend time with this release. It's really great. Besides a stellar sound, it's thought provoking as are most Springfield releases. Tortured souls make great music, eh?

I am also liking the new album by The Script and of course the new Melissa Etheridge.

Of the bonus tracks "Let Me In" is brilliant. Love that song, one of my favorites of the cd.

Matt Bissonnette - was a big influence here - check out the three "Mustard Seeds" for a very similar vibe...Rick of course has some great lyrics too...great effort from all involved. My favorite melodicrock cd of 2012

Yeah, you can hear Matt's influence on the last couple of RS records...

Love that whole echo/voice thing at the end of "Depravity". I remember seeing Matt and his band back in the day circa '96 at the Troubadore in Hollywood, I distinctly remember having to see the band that was playing when I heard them in the background (was hanging out in the front bar area).
