It's a great DVD. Play it LOUD, folks. The mix is great. A lot of deep, thundering lows from Bonhan and John Paul Jones. And Plant sounds surprisingly strong. Page is less mysterious than he used to be, but comes through as the guitar virtuoso he is. This makes up for that pitiful, embarrassing performance at the Atlantic Records anniversary in '88.

The Atlantic Records show was a masterpiece compared to the Live Aid show.

Fact Finder wrote:Jason Bonham adds some much needed backing vocals as well on this. On the opener Good Times Bad Times, at first I went FUCK, they are using canned vocals, but upon further review it is Jason, and he sounded great. Didn't know he sang.
Also, cannot leave out John Paul Jones, what a consumate Musician, Bass and Keyboard player. And from what I've heard an all around good guy and so respected in the industry. The bass/drum interplay during Nobodys Fault but Mine is stellar work and you actually have all four players doing 4 different things and it comes together so powerfully. Plant with the ah a ah a a ha, and Pagey mimicing that on guitar, Jones with the domp domp Dud Dh domp, and Bonham filling in behind on the snare/kick, bash bash du du da bash. I know that sounds silly but how else to say it gives me a rock and roll woody. It like 4 part harmony with 3 instruments and one voice. Never heard another band write anything even remotely to resemble that interplay. Rush may come clostest, but even Rush, which is my all time favorite band has never projected the MUSCLE as AR put it, as powerfully as Zep did.
I can't say enough good about this DVD. My only con would be the lack of the vocal on Ramble On. Plant just repeats Ramble On/Sing my song. He never sings the follow up "Now's the time the time is now" parts, which is acceptable, except he proves on this DVD that he could do it if he wanted.
My only set list change and or addition would have been Achillies' Last Stand and maybe something acoustic like Going to California, Bron YR Stomp, or maybe Gallows Poll. I could do without the funked up Trampled Underfoot but admit it's a damn good song, just not one of my favs. Misty Mountain Hop I can take either way, again not one of my faves. Ten Years Gone would have been good as well.
I'm still giving it an A++ MUST HAVE!
