Billy Joel sounded like he had a bad head cold. His upper range was simply gone and River of Dreams was painful at times. He sounded hoarse when speaking even, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

ROD was a struggle for him, no doubt, but I thought he did surprisingly well on Miami 2017 and NYSOM. Even Rolling Stone Magazine praised his entire performance as a highlight of the evening and said that he "hasn't lost a step," and that's saying a lot coming from them (they're FAR from being among Billy's biggest fans.)
