Advice on Website

Postby Memorex » Wed Jan 02, 2013 1:34 pm

Need some advice for my son. I'm too busy to research it at the moment and certainly too busy to build anything. He's got a dozen or so rap songs he wants to "release" out to the web for free. He'd like to build a website around it. He'd like to group things into PlayLists (other "artists" will be included as well).

What would be the fastest, easiest, least expensive path for him? I suggested MySpace and he looked at me like I was an idiot. He likes Soundcloud but I guess you can't group playlists there.

Anyway - any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well, as for MySpace, it became an Internet historic memory late last year officially shutting down for obvious reasons. That said.... I believe Facebook has the capability to do playlists and they have site templates already to throw up too. The first people who came to mind that will definitely have some good input on this subject are Tragchick and Jeremy.

TuneCore. Bandpage.

He can do it via Facebook too..

If these are truly "his" songs that he has the rights to release, I would at least consider Amazon's "createspace" and sell the CD's at little or no profit:
