Dave "YUUUP!" Hester, who was fired from Storage Wars, stepped up to say what we already knew: that Storage Wars is fake. The big finds are planted by the producers to add drama. Everyone knows the vast majority of abandoned storage units are full of junk.

Reality shows are always fake. Just look how phony Kardashians are. These shows are pure mind rot. There must be better things for millions of people to do, other than sit on their couches and digest garbage.

Read that as well. Already knew it's fake but it's still cool to
watch and see what they "find". Plus it helps that brandi

Brandi's very cute but Nabila's hawt. She was hardly in one season, though. The situational stuff with Barry (like when he goes to Stewart Copeland's house and gets him to sign the drumkit JUST to increase the value of the kit, LOL) is what I like about the show.

I never seen the show but heard some people at the coffee shop over the years talking about it. They always said they wanted to do it some day if they could. So now we know it's fake. Sort of figured. However, there are a few legit finds I would say, nothing that will rake in tons of money like the tv show portrays, but there are somethings I guess you could get that would be of personal value. I bought a few military items from people that acquired someone's storage units after no payments were made and the person couldn't be located. I even have a few friends from the military who've put all their belongings over the years into storage lockers. After buying the military items the people I purchased them from told me how they got the items that they sold to me. From a storage locker. At that point I started to put two and two together and realized that sometimes a guy in the military (like my military buddies) will put their belongings in a storage locker when they go on deployment or transfer to another duty station since they have no family. They end up getting killed or just die of old age and the locker contents eventually gets auctioned off since no family members can be located and no rent has been paid on the unit. That's about all you'll find, just personal effects and some souveniers.

I've never watched the show, but common sense tells me that there would be no big finds if it wasn't fixed where "treasure" was planted. Sure there could be some unclaimed storage lockers with contents of value in them out there somewhere but that would be extremely far and few in between. If the show was lagit, you'd probably have to watch through a number of seasons looking through people's useless personal effects and trash before coming across an actual "exciting" find. From what I've heard about this show, it seems they only finds "exciting" treasure every place they go.

I agree and when you watch these types of shows you figure out real quick that it's "staged". The only reality show I watch is Survivor. I dvr it to get past

a lot of the bullshit. But I enjoy it and I'll keep applying till they accept me.

Next reality show, following a small flock of bums around town finding "treasure" in dumpsters they're digging through in the middle of the night.

Barry is hilarious.... star of the show..

Brandi is hawt... Nabilia is hawter... great tits.

Jarrod is a tool.. he better up his game, and loose the skater-boi look, or Brandi will kick him to the curb

Darrel is that big fucking dork everyone knew in high school..

Hester - glad he got fired.. arrogant prick that always got his ass kicked in high school.

I have known from day 1 that it was staged. I used to manage a storage facility and no one pays that much money for those units. The average unit is filled with common everyday household items. The average unit goes for pennies on the dollar not nearly enough to pay the outstanding storage fees. I lost interest after season 2, but still hate that Dave Hester was fired.... Won't be interesting now. And yes, Jarrod is a tool....

I used to have a storage unit years ago. In the rental agreement it stated that the contents of the unit becomes the property of the rental facility if I lapsed on my rent after so many days/months.

When you managed a storage facility, did the rental agreement of your facility state the same or does it just depend on each facilities policies?

With that said, I'm sure that the rental facility goes through the units that have lapsed for non-payment first to get anything of value, since in the rental contract, they are legally owner of the property once the rent has not been paid after a certain amount of time, as outlined in the rental agreement between the facility and the renter.

Shipping wars is ok to watch only for the banter of the other shippers during the episode.
Its funny that they give ridicuausly low bids, 1000$ to drive a semi trailer across America?
I wonder how much these "actors" get compensated.

I'm no trucker and haven't driven a truck before, but for $1,000, wouldn't it cost more in fuel, tolls, insurance, depending on the size of the truck, weight of the load, where they ship it to, weather conditions, time of year, etc. and also food along the way? There are lots of factors that influence the cost. And then they need to drive their rigs back right? I've driven my sports car only half way across the U.S. before and it cost me $320 one way in fuel alone.

Here's a reality show concept: Recycle Bin Wars, starring "Pretzel" as "The Scav".

http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/R ... 162587.php

Check out that second shot. That's the true part of the reality of this. Imagine what that guy "finds" while doing his job.

Shipping Wars is totally full of shit. Nobody would do that work for the kind of pay they "earn" on there.
