Not trying to burst your bubble, but do celebrities even interact on their own FB's? I would imagine their PR team manages their accounts.

There's quite a few celebrities who will accept your friend request if they haven't hit their 5,000 friend limit or switched over to a fan page yet.
Now, as far as them ever commenting on YOUR photos or writing something on YOUR wall, that might be asking a lot.

Julian Lennon will respond to you personally from time to time, he jumps in on conversations and responds to posts out of the blue.

Madison Cain (Jon Cain's daughter), and Jon's Brother Muggs (Tommy Cain) have both responded to me from time to time, you might not consider them "Celebrity" but I enjoy writing back and forth with them now and again. Both are very gracious, but most of Jon's family is, as is Jon in my opinion. Madison and Miles are going to be fronting for Journey in Japan. They sound great together!

I really don't go into any other ones and expect any response. Most have the site that are managed by others. I am sure there are some that do manage their own. I seldom go looking to add a celebrity but I made exception for a few I like the most.

These aren't huge names, but I have a few minor celebs.

Alice Cooper
Robert Fleischman
Tom Jones
Kevin Cronin
Glen Burtnik

Robert and Glen interact with me quite regularly. They're pretty down to earth people.

So how can you tell these "famous people" are really them and not some crank pretending to be someone famous just for the attention?

I have regular interaction with Fleischman and we talk about his music. He's who he says he is, I have no doubt. Burtnik also participates in discussions and comments on some of my stuff. What was really cool was when Fleischman wished my mom a happy birthday and they became friends. He had recently lost his own mom and understood that day was important to my mom and me.

I'd say Alice is a bit above a minor celeb. Just my .02.

All of Dennis DeYoung's band. Tom Sharpe and August Zadra talk to me/comment on my stuff fairly regularly. They're really cool. The others are a little more reclusive

So if you were a famous person, would you actually have time outside of your career to bullshit with strangers on the internet that you don't know, never met and probably never will meet in person? I know I wouldn't, but then again that's just me.

In Hollywood, No. Some artists are real people and maybe they get tired of Hollywood type phoney people. I can see where they want friends that are real. Some Hollywood women are extremely vulnerable. I can't find it, but a few years ago it was exposed that a famous actress was actually shacking up with a guy who was nothing more than a construction worker. They were just good in bed together and she cared not about his education....he made her feel good. The internet has made the world smaller.

Fact is, we are all just people. Everyone gets out of bed and puts their clothes on and goes off and does whatever we do. Tom Cruise is not that well endowed and Katy Holmes just couldn't fake it anymore.

I will like a page, whether it is for a Celebrity, Musical group, or what may interest me. I am not a personal friend of any Celebrity, etc. Who knows if the Celebrity is the actual Celebrity doing the posting, or some crazed nut who wants to be that celebrity (and there are MANY crazy nuts on FB!). :)
