I pre-ordered mine online and have had it since last Thursday.

Fallout is my favorite song, but way too short.

Bought mine tonight at Best Buy. I went to Wal-Mart first and couldn't find it. The guy working there wouldn't even look in the computer to see if they had any. He just says "no, if it isn't on the shelf...we don't have it". Typical. I spent my money elsewhere. I bought the box set so now I'm wondering what to do with the buttons and the patch... Lol!! I only got to listen to 3 or 4 songs, but I already like it better than any of the recent albums from them. I look forward to giving it a few spins! :D

Best tracks so far are Spore, In This Light, and Fallout. The structure of the choruses on a few tracks run a little similar, but overall this is a great album for fans of Ryche or melodic rock, in general. Lots of great choruses and killer riffs. Todd makes a hell of a debut. Sounds like Tate on the high register and even the lower parts, but overall has his own distinctive approach. This album def beats the white boy nu-metal/hip hop crap that Tate has been peddling for awhile. I'll be wearing this cd out in the car for awhile.

I'm maybe a little less enthusiastic about this release but I will say that it's easily my favorite since at least "Promised Land', possibly "Empire".

Anyone get the special edition at Best Bite for 11.99? The digipack comes in a slipcover box with a patch, some buttons, a sticker and a guitar pick.

Empire for me, because PL was too inconsistent. "Damaged" is a cool song and they're going to introduce it into their live set.

I got what I think is called the "deluxe edition." I got the box with the patch, buttons, sticker, and guitar pick. In the same package, I also got a black Queensryche t-shirt. Just yesterday, I got my poster, autographed by all five band members. I did a pre-order, so I have had the CD for about a week.

Initially, I didn't really like "Promised Land" but I've grown to love the album and the moody atmosphere it has.

Haha! Look at it this way: it sold 13,500 copies, compared to Frequency Unknown's 5500.

13,500 also beats the first week sales of Dedicated To Chaos and American Soldier...so yeah, it is kind of a comeback.

In today's numbers, that actually is pretty good and for the reasons you specified also.

It sold more in one week than F.U. has sold in ten weeks.

Attendance at Tateryche gigs has been pathetic, too. This is NOT a soundcheck!

The new s/t album is one of the cd's I got the man for his birthday, and we like it, impressed with La Torre. Will be interesting in the tale-of-2-Queensryches to see who ends up with the name officially.

In interviews now, Geoff is downplaying the court case and saying that the case is just about dissolving the company and giving the 'Ryche brand to whoever can afford to buy it out. Seems like he already knows he's about to lose.

Geoff's also speed-booking dates in cities he just played several months ago, no doubt to cock-block his former bandmates who will not be able to play those areas because no promoter will book "Queensryche" for the third time in a year.

In other news, Queensryche has sold 20,000 copies.

As of the the July 4th weekend, I believe it had sold 12,900 copies or something like that.
