And just to make it THAT much more strange, did ya notice the guy is wearing a pinstripe suit? His forearms and pant legs are visible right as he's launching.

I thought he was going to bite it for sure when that dog was in his path. (No pun intended whatsoever.)

I just watched a docu on this a couple of weeks ago. IIRC in the race's history, there have been 247 deaths. Over the 3 days of filming the docu, 6 people had died - 3 of them spectators!
Yeah, that's a whole different kind of desire those crazy fuckers share! And for what.....? Nothing more than being the current fastest rider - till somebody beats your time.

The first time I watched the vid, I was positive he and the dog were going to get tangled up. Seriously, I don't know how they didn't given the crazy narrow walkway where he and the dog meet up.
