I have been receiving thousands of fan mail as to what is going on with KISS. Today, my contract ran out. No one, again no one has called me, or my attorney about an extension for future touring. As a founding member I find this to be disrespectful to me, and to the fans that have made us one of the biggest bands in the world. You will always get the truth from me, I have no reason to lie to the people that gave me such a wonderful life. And that’s the god’s honest truth.

i dont know what to make of this.why would they not get peter back in unless they had problems with him or they figure this tour may not generate much cash so lets get someone who is willing to play for much less.its a shame cause eric is such a hugh tallent.guess greed from mr asshole will conqore all.

It's his own label. However, I agree with you that Eric should stay in Alice's band. He is soooo good in that situation. Alice's music really complements his style. KISS does not. Alive III proves it. Detroit with a double kick? Please.


I believe Peter was only back for one reason. They needed him to sing Beth for the kiss symphony. Ace has been calling Gene and Paul liars for years. I guess he is right. They have done nothing to ever prove him wrong.

They're making money now. The fans don't matter anymore. They're tapping the pockets of the general public until they stop buying tickets and T-shirts.

I didn't mean "record label". I meant he has labeled himself an Asshole with the title of his new album. I know there are two sides to the story but over the years I find Gene to be all spin. He been full of shit for years. I didn't see them last year and I won't be going this year. It's a shame.

You maybe right. I could be jumping to conclusions. I have seen him quoted as saying " OK I'm an asshole. So what's your point?" several times on his website and interviews. That's why I came to the conclusion I did. But still, if Peter is correct then it's a pretty shitty thing to do to him and the fans.

Anything is possible when it comes to Simmons I suppose.....tell me, as KISS freak, would you be looking at buying the Simmons and Stanley solo albums Magic?
Myself, I might have a listen to Paul Stanley's , but I just don't know about Gene.

So you say. I've met him several times. He was always more than cool.

Kiss should have packed it in after the Reunion tour. Everything past that has been total cheeseball cash ins. I have been a huge Kiss fan since the mid-70's and have seen them live in every decade. I dont care very much for the Thayer version of Ace, although I know Thayer plays the songs as good or better than Ace can. Singer is awesome too. Dressing him as the Catman is just plain bad. Its Gene proving a point to Ace & Pete that he can do whatever he wants. Gene pulls this stuff before every tour. He replaces the originals and hopes to break Ace & Pete by having them crawl back for substationally less money. $$$$$ is what it is all about. Cash and power. I will agree that maybe Ace and Pete shouldnt get as much as Paul and Gene. After all, they did carry on the band when Ace & Pete left. They returned as "Employees" of the Kiss company in 1996, not full partners in a 4 way split.
The only member of Kiss that has truely still got it is Paul. Ace is a mess (just look back at the Farewell tour footage) and Pete is simply too old and unable to play like he used to (again, look at any tour footage...not the symphony stuff).
Seeing a Kiss show is still fun IMO. The music is actually better without Ace & Pete playing sloppily. However, knowing that it is only really Gene and Paul takes a little away from it for me. Saddens me. There comes a time when old sparky needs to be put to sleep. I think its time for sparky to wipe off the makeup and take a deep breath of the gas.
