Love the nicknames, but only agree with you on half of that. Radas at 23? Fuck no! try 43.

Seriously, the NFC West may be the strongest division. SEA, AZ and SF are all legit.

The NFC East is the best division in football, by a lot! I think the NFC North is better than the west. Arizona won't make the playoffs this season and I'm not sold on Seattle at all. I love Singletary so I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that SF is the class of that division.

Obviously, they just beat 2 division opponents in a 2 week span. As we stand now, The NFC EAST and NFC NORTH are the two best divisions in football. The NFC WEST is competitive, but not the best division in the league. The NFC South will come down to N.O and Atlanta. N.O is an early Super Bowl contender and is separated from the rest of the league at this point. The AFC is as wide open as it gets. All teams from a year ago are going to push for standings and could mix it up here or there judging or comparing from a year ago. Too early.

Just wait a second....I thought about the NFC East and Dallas is average at best, Washington sucks and Philly has no QB.

The NFC North just lost to Cincinnati(GB), MN barely got by DET and Chicago got extremely lucky to beat Cincy.

Just sayin.

The AFC East is all average. NE, MIA, NYJ, and Buffalo are all between 6-10 and 10-6.

Why do people do "power rankings" those lists won't look ANYTHING like that by the end of the season... it's all bullshit because every NFL team is just a few injuries away from mediocrity and a handful of injuries away from really sucking.

Last week the Packers were "clearly" the NFC North champs ... one serious injury on the O line and this week they cannot protect the QB and get rolled by the Bungles.

Last week Arizona was really banged up so they "sucked" this week just a few guys were a lil more healthy and they were rolling.

Last week the Seahawks were healthy and they rolled, but lost 3 defensive starters and were stupidly ranked high - but all their injuries were their run stoppers in the front 7, so guess what? This week San Fran runs all over them and knocks out the QB and suddenly now the Hawks are terrible.

People need to pay attention to the injuries... they are what define NFL football more than anything else.

Good PowerRankings take into consideration division, schedule, record, injuries, past performances and whether or not you hate a team's guts.

Its just fun.

I couldn't agree with you more. "Rankings" actually matter in college football, because those fucking retards don't know how else to determine who should win a "national chamionship". In the NFL, it's simply a way for ESPN to bring more publicity to themselves. The Jets were 8-3 last season and everyone said they were going to the Super Bowl. They didn't even make the playoffs. There are a whole lot of teams in the NFL that look horrid right now and a whole lot of teams who look unstoppable. I suspect that by the end of the season, both will meet in the middle somewhere.

NFL football is a sport that has the ultimate "What have you done for me lately" stigma and that rides severely week, after week. The NFL shakes up every minute, and unlike other sports out there, they only play a 16 game schedule at the professional level, so every regular season game will count sooner or later either during the middle, or ends of a season for teams that are decided by fate. A team, in a power ranking, can jump as far as 5-7 spots depending on who they played, how they won, or who went down with injury. Relax, it's all in fun and the Week 3 Power Rankings will look differently than this weeks.

ESPN'S Power Rankings Week 2

1.

New Orleans Saints (2-0)

I’m sure I’ll take some heat over this, but The ‘Ain’ts are looking an awful like the ‘greatest show on turf’ rams…. virtually unstoppable. 50 against the Eagles? Please.

2.

New York Giants (2-0)

Eli continues to show just how good he’s gotten; the win at Dallas was huge.

3.

Baltimore Ravens (2-0)

Any doubts as to the offense’s ability is gone. And with that defense, the Ravens are the class of the AFC.

4.

Atlanta Falcons (2-0)

A win at Foxboro will solidify that the Falcons are now among the league’s elite.

5.

San Fransisco 49ers (2-0)

Jason Hill may not be Montana or Young; he may not even be Elvis Grbac… but he has the Niners riding high heading to Minnesota.

6.

Indianapolis Colts (2-0)

They haven’t been dominant, but they are and will continue to win games.

7.

Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1)

Still my pick to win the Super Bowl, but they did lose to the bears, and until they rediscover the running game, they belong here.

8.

New York Jets (2-0)

I’m still not completely sold on the Jets, but they sure look like a top 10 team.

9.

Dallas Cowboys (1-1)

Romo looked horrible and they still almost knocked off the Giants. And that running game was hot.

10.

Tennessee Titans (0-2)

Two close losses to two good teams is not a catastrophe.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11.

Houston Texans (1-1)

This is a schizophrenic bunch. The Jets loss doesn’t look near as bad now, and Schaub looked really good against the Titans.
12.

Arizona Cardinals (1-1)

This week against the Colts will tell just how good they are. (or aren’t)
13.

Green Bay Packers (1-1)

The Packers aren’t near as bad as they looked against the Bengals. A week off at St. Louis should help them get things straight.
14.

Buffalo Bills (1-1)

The Bills weren’t supposed to be any good. And yet here they are, respectable.
15.

New England Patriots (1-1)

You just know they’ll get the ship righted sooner than later.
16.

Minnesota Vikings (2-0)

Wins over Cleveland and Detroit don’t prove a thing.
17.

Philadelphia Eagles (1-1)

If McNabb is in the lineup, they’re still a top 10 team.
18.

San Diego Chargers (1-1)

The Chargers just don’t look like the Chargers; the offense showed signs this week, but…
19.

Miami Dolphins (0-2)

They dominated the entire game against the Colts, and still couldn’t find a win.
20.

Seattle Seahawks (1-1)

This is a very mediocre team without a healthy Hasselback.
21.

Denver Broncos (2-0)

As unimpressive as they have looked, they are 2-0.
22.

Cincinnati Bengals (1-1)

The Packers helped the Bengals look good by leaving the O line in the locker room. Reality will return against Pittsburgh.
23.

Chicago Bears (1-1)

You can’t ignore a win over the Steelers.
24.

Oakland Raiders (1-1)

The Defense has been very good. Now if JaMarcus would stop looking like Ryan Leaf.
25.

Carolina Panthers (0-2)

Not looking like the playoff team they were supposed to be.
26.

Washington Redskins (1-1)

Beating St. Louis 9-7 is pathetic.
27.

Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2)

Weren’t these guys supposed to be competitive this year?
28.

Detroit Lions (0-2)

They still aren’t a good team, but they aren’t laughable anymore. Might even win a couple of games.
29.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-2)

The offence is bad. The defense is really bad. Might as well bring back the old uniforms, cause they look alot like the old Bucs.
30.

Kansas City Chiefs (0-2)

Remember when Arrowhead used to scare people?
31.

Cleveland Browns (0-2)

This team does have talent, but they remain inexplicably bad.
32.

St. Louis Rams (0-2)

This Year’s Rams might actually be worse than last year’s Lions.

Good rankings for the most part Travis, except I gotta disagree with you about the Browns - they barely have any talent. Certainly no depth. Outside of Cribbs, Braylon (who has looked pretty good so far), and Sean Rogers, there just isn't enough playmaking potential on this team. Horrible. Jamal Lewis's corpse should have been cut a few weeks ago.

I agree with the TITANS at 10, BUT- I think they have a dreadful stretch coming up before their byeweek in week 7, and could EASILY be 1-5 when that stretch is done. I hope I'm wrong, but I fear that losing Albert Haynesworth has caused their defense to fall apart. They just looked AWFUL last week.
Loving the SAINTS at #1. I hope they can hold out, but I fear that (as usual) the Saints will find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory!

Thats when power rankings become difficult. You need to consider quality of opponents, how well they played, etc.....but 1-5 would be 1-5 too.

His rankings are fucking ABSURD! He has the Bears ranked as one of the 10 worse teams in the league and then says "You can't ignore a win over the Steelers", which he has apparently done! On the other side, he has Tennessee ranked as a top 10 team in the league, and they're 0-2 with a VERY average team, aside from Chris Johnson, who is a STUD player. While the Patriots are in fucking shambles right now, ranking the Bills ahead of them at this point is beyond fucking moronic! The Bills don't have one tenth of the talent the Patriots have on offense, and lost to them in a head to head matchup, and will lose to them by FAR more than the one point they lost by when the play them later in the season! Hell, he has the Patriots ranked ahead of the Vikings, and I certainly wouldn't agree with that after the two weeks of football I have watched!

Sorry...as much as this dude comes in here waving his yellow toilet paper, his rankings tell me that he doesn't know half as much about football as he seems to think he knows! By the way Mr. Football Genius...Who the fuck is this "Jason" Hill you're singing the praises of in San Francisco? Last I checked, the QB of the niners is Shaun Hill. This guy is a Steelers fan...not an objective NFL fan! I have ZERO respect for fans with an agenda. Call things as they are, not how they look in your dreams! ESPN's "Power Rankings" are MUCH closer to reality and I wouldn't argue much with where they have most of the teams slotted, after two weeks of football.

Excuse me? Dude what the FUCK are you even looking at? You're going off the ESPN's power rankings, fool. Look back at my post and get it right, dumby. I have Tennessee ranked 18th in the league, New England ranked 13th, and the Bills ranks 21st, and ranked Chicago probably higher than they deserve at #8, up from a few spots. I will post the link to the the power rankings you judge and accuse me of making, when I already made mine and stated that the bone you have to pick was already mentioned that they were ESPN'S rankings you stupid asshole.

Christ, I am a diehard Steelers fan, yes, but I am fair and tell it like it is and love the game as a whole. If ANYONE around here is biased and parading around sticking red white and blue fingers up their asshole, it's you rambling about how "obsurd" it is to even THINK of a team could be 10-6 with a Brady led Pats team. Now all of a sudden, N.E should be starring 0-2, Brady looking terrible, you shut the hell up about it for the time being. Oh yeah, this is ALSO somebody claiming that the whole football community and championships should run through N.E to be worthy of a championship! Come on, douche, wake the hell up for once and smell the coffee, you just like to hear yourself bitch sometimes.

Listen cuntrag...those aren't the rankings I saw on ESPN, so I assumed they were your rankings. If they weren't, then I apologize. They're moronic rankings, regardless of whose they were. You still never answered the question on who Jason Hill was. By the way, the word is ABSURD, not "obsurd". YoungJRNY wrote:Excuse me?

Go back to school, or seek a refund from your college, because your grammar skills are a fucking abortion!

DUDE they weren't my rankings! LMAO. I never mentioned anything about a Jason Hill for Christ Sake, those were the power rankings I just copied and pasted from an ESPN analyst, who once I find, I will post the link. Go back to early in the damn post, my rankings are under Deano's post. I have it labled as "My Power Rankings for Week 2."

Here's the link to the Power Rankings that I copied and pasted from. My bad for labeling it ESPN'S Power Rankings, I must have had ESPN'S window up while viewing this one and got mixed up when posting. Send your hate mail to this dude John, from one sorry fucker, to another!

http://sportales.com/football/official- ... eek-three/

1.

New Orleans Saints (2-0)

I’m sure I’ll take some heat over this, but The ‘Ain’ts are looking an awful like the ‘greatest show on turf’ rams…. virtually unstoppable. 50 against the Eagles? Please.

2.

New York Giants (2-0)

Eli continues to show just how good he’s gotten; the win at Dallas was huge.

3.

Baltimore Ravens (2-0)

Any doubts as to the offense’s ability is gone. And with that defense, the Ravens are the class of the AFC.

4.

Atlanta Falcons (2-0)

A win at Foxboro will solidify that the Falcons are now among the league’s elite.

5.

San Fransisco 49ers (2-0)

Jason Hill may not be Montana or Young; he may not even be Elvis Grbac… but he has the Niners riding high heading to Minnesota.

6.

Indianapolis Colts (2-0)

They haven’t been dominant, but they are and will continue to win games.

7.

Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1)

Still my pick to win the Super Bowl, but they did lose to the bears, and until they rediscover the running game, they belong here.

8.

New York Jets (2-0)

I’m still not completely sold on the Jets, but they sure look like a top 10 team.

9.

Dallas Cowboys (1-1)

Romo looked horrible and they still almost knocked off the Giants. And that running game was hot.

10.

Tennessee Titans (0-2)

Two close losses to two good teams is not a catastrophe.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
11.

Houston Texans (1-1)

This is a schizophrenic bunch. The Jets loss doesn’t look near as bad now, and Schaub looked really good against the Titans.
12.

Arizona Cardinals (1-1)

This week against the Colts will tell just how good they are. (or aren’t)
13.

Green Bay Packers (1-1)

The Packers aren’t near as bad as they looked against the Bengals. A week off at St. Louis should help them get things straight.
14.

Buffalo Bills (1-1)

The Bills weren’t supposed to be any good. And yet here they are, respectable.
15.

New England Patriots (1-1)

You just know they’ll get the ship righted sooner than later.
16.

Minnesota Vikings (2-0)

Wins over Cleveland and Detroit don’t prove a thing.
17.

Philadelphia Eagles (1-1)

If McNabb is in the lineup, they’re still a top 10 team.
18.

San Diego Chargers (1-1)

The Chargers just don’t look like the Chargers; the offense showed signs this week, but…
19.

Miami Dolphins (0-2)

They dominated the entire game against the Colts, and still couldn’t find a win.
20.

Seattle Seahawks (1-1)

This is a very mediocre team without a healthy Hasselback.
21.

Denver Broncos (2-0)

As unimpressive as they have looked, they are 2-0.
22.

Cincinnati Bengals (1-1)

The Packers helped the Bengals look good by leaving the O line in the locker room. Reality will return against Pittsburgh.
23.

Chicago Bears (1-1)

You can’t ignore a win over the Steelers.
24.

Oakland Raiders (1-1)

The Defense has been very good. Now if JaMarcus would stop looking like Ryan Leaf.
25.

Carolina Panthers (0-2)

Not looking like the playoff team they were supposed to be.
26.

Washington Redskins (1-1)

Beating St. Louis 9-7 is pathetic.
27.

Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2)

Weren’t these guys supposed to be competitive this year?
28.

Detroit Lions (0-2)

They still aren’t a good team, but they aren’t laughable anymore. Might even win a couple of games.
29.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-2)

The offence is bad. The defense is really bad. Might as well bring back the old uniforms, cause they look alot like the old Bucs.
30.

Kansas City Chiefs (0-2)

Remember when Arrowhead used to scare people?
31.

Cleveland Browns (0-2)

This team does have talent, but they remain inexplicably bad.
32.

St. Louis Rams (0-2)

This Year’s Rams might actually be worse than last year’s Lions.

Maybe one day you could compete in the "national chamionship" of dummy's, dummy.

Listen ball licker...There is an ENORMOUS difference between a typo and using a fucking word (i.e. "obsurd") that isn't even a word! I don't even look at the fucking keyboard while I'm typing, so I wouldn't be shocked if you pointed out 10 typos from me in any given week! That said, I know the difference between actual words and your made up ones! Any time you'd like to compare SAT scores or college transcripts, let me know!

Dummy. (snicker) You're such a baby it's not even funny. You are now officially the T.O of the melodicrock community. Being so defensive and using such insults just prove that a nerve was hit and doesn't make your case to be worthy. You are so quick to put down a poster to make yourself look good. With all that internet hostility, whatever you do as a profession, I say drop it and enter the U.S Military or enter the world of MMA fighting to let out some testosterone, tough guy.

I promise, since I take Karate (seriously) boxed, and have taken down 6'4 men before. I'm not prepping to your level. LOL What am I doing? What is this dude? An online street fight to prep up your ego? You're making yourself out to be more of a clown than you already are. You are becoming a figure that noone takes serious anymore. Picking fights with anyone you ever encounter. How does this make your case seem appropriate and taken serious when you have the same way with words with EVERYONE about any topic to blow your load? I'm done with this, it's childish and retarded if you ask me.

You sure have a way with words but that doesn't apply to the fact that your bark is probably bigger than your bite. All I want to do is talk football, which I think is fun and love debating. I'm sick of everything turning into a fight with you and you claiming you are the shit. Whatever is said from here on out, will always turn into a shitfest because of your horrible nature. I can dig that. Lets just get back to football talk and let bygones be bygones for Christ sake, this isn't worth it dude. Be a man and act maturely for once. It's sad that a 21 year old handles himself more of a man than you do over an internet feed and more times than none, shows you up! With that said, I still like you, believe it or not because I laugh at everything you post. Relax, T.O, relax.

WOW some people got some NERVE. No respect to not only to the deceased, but to his family as well. I'm sure family members took his death pretty severely and will be haunted by this for some time to come and we have this despicable act by an ignorant dickhead. This is what you should expect from society today, nothing but creeps. Unreal.

Dude...you need to "relax". Listen...this is the fucking internet. I don't take one single thing said here remotely seriously, and NEVER have! As for my bark being bigger than my bite...damn straight it is. I'm old enough to be your dad, and am a happily married family guy who I can assure you isn't getting into street fights, bar fights, or any other kind of fights with anyone. I have a reasonably successful career and would prefer to hold onto my assets  Believe it or not, I like you too. While I loathe the Steelers and always have, I think you're a good dude and admire your passion for football. I'm simply going to call you out when you're wrong about something and man up when I'm wrong about something...just like I did earlier when I accused you of rankings that weren't yours! Go Patriots and fuck the Steelers
