ADAM LAMBERT VIDEO – 2012, THE MOVIE

Postby JasonD » Fri Dec 18, 2009 10:02 pm

I don’t know if this has already been mentioned b/c I hardly post here anymore, so forgive me if this is a repeat.

I was wondering if I could persuade any of the conservative types out there to set aside their dislike for Adam Lambert just a teeny-tiny second & ask you to click on the following video link. This is from the movie 2012. It’s a song entitled “Time For Miracles” & it’s amazing!!! The CD, “For Your Entertainment” is great too, but that’s a topic for another site.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmdQ_52gG1k

I haven’t seen the movie myself, but the cinematography of the earth’s destruction in the video is awesome to watch on the big screen. Plus, I know it’s kind of early to start making guesses, but based upon the video’s content I’m going to predict that the movie will receive a Special Effects nomination when the Oscars are announced next Spring.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas. My dad has agreed to let me visit Christmas Day so I’m really looking forward to that.

Peace. Bye.

Adam Lambert is a real talent. So what if he went over the top at the awards-people are still talking about that performance. Plus, hell hes right. When the ladies do it theres barely any discussion.
My daughters saw 2012 and dug it pretty good. And this is a cool video.
Why dont you post as much anymore?

Hi.

I just wanted to stop in briefly & say thanks for all the nice PMs. Don't ever be afraid to talk. It's okay if you say things privately. I completely understand & I'll respect your anonymity.

Scarabgator, you're a good man bro. Thanks for being cool.

Triple S, my Hutch loving friend, it's good to see you liked the movie. I can't comment much other than that b/c I haven't been to see it.

Peace.

I love "Time for Miracles"! Also "Whataya Want From Me" is outstanding, and of course, my favorite Lambert song remains "Mad World."

Adam could sing the phone book and it would sell. He has a killer rock voice. I hope he gets in a killer band and puts out some hits.

Yes, those are both good songs. I'm also into "Pick U Up." Actually, the whole CD is awesome. There's not a filler in the group.

Adam Lambert Like You've Never Seen Him Before--WOW!!!!

Postby JasonD » Sun Dec 20, 2009 4:20 am

I told myself I wasn't going to post anymore Adam Lambert videos, but this one I simply couldn't resist. It's from Lambert's high school graduation. He sang to his graduating class. It's unbelieveable how a few years can change a person. You won't even recognize him here. He's blond, chubby & totally make-up free:

I love 'Whataya Want From Me' but I have to stop listening to it for awhile - he's sung it on at least 10 talk shows in the last couple of weeks. My favorite on the CD right now is 'Soaked"

By anonymous request, here’s “Pick U Up” & “Broken Open”:

Pick U Up:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Uo1r083XsM

Broken Open:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvPqF1nHK98
.
.
Just for clarification’s sake, though, I want to point out that I wasn’t the one who posted “Soaked.” That was posted by Triple S, but since you liked it, I’ll take credit for posting it. LOL!!! ( j/k Hutch).

Now, to answer your other question, I wanna say I agree with you on the Queen tour. Part of me thinks Lambert would be stupid not to join, but then another part of me remembers Chris Daughtry’s offer. I was one of those people who thought Daughtry was stupid to pass on Fuel, but the guy has done alright for himself even without the backing of an established band --- so what the heck do I know? :?

He shouldn't do Queen. That could be for later if his career doesn't take off. But he needs to go solo first, and his new CD is so good, he's got a great start.

Probably b/c of the idiotic cover that screams out, "DON'T BUY ME!" It's a fantastic CD, Gunbot, but you gotta get past that horrific Glamour Shots cover to get to the music. Sad as it seems, I'm sure some people will judge the CD's content based upon the cover alone. Rest assured there's not one single man-on-man reference in any of the songs on the entire CD.... just some really good music hidden behind a ridiculous Ziggy Stardust-esq cover.

wow. It's a really good CD. How many has he sold so far? And, Mr. Numbers Guy, how many has the winner sold? His name is Chris Allen, I think. I think he just released his album last week or so. Not sure when but recently. I'm interested if he will sell many.

Not that I care  - but that's not quite true. Very first line of Fever - "There He Goes". I guess some could say that's man-on-man  - shocking!

I couldn't even tell you the name of Chris' single from his new album. He's talented also, but just too much like a lot of others out there. Adam's talented AND different - that's why I love the guy.

I say him on Letterman I think it was, and his new single sounded a little generic but really nice, and, like you said, he's too much like a lot of others. But it will be interesting to see if there's anything that sets him apart re sound on his new debut album from all the other music out, b/c he has a really rich nice studio voice for recording.

Found this off his new album. Sounds good.

awesome cinematography in the “Time For Miracles” vid! i'll give the song a few listens without watching the video, to see if i really like the song or if the imagery is affecting my emotions.

i can't help but giggle when i think of the making of the vid. to get that slow-motion effect, he had to lip-sync to a speeded up music track, mickey mouse-style. supersilly during production, but looks so cool in the vid.

In my favorite TV show there was a character who was a meth addict & in this one scene he was being treated for his addiction & a couple of friends came to visit him in the hospital while he was going through withdrawl. In one particular scene the patient was hallucinating that his friends' heads were shaking back & forth, really fast as they were speaking to him. I saw a documentary of the making of that episode & one of the actors who played one of the friends described how that scene was shot. He & the other "friend" actor were told to deliver their lines while moving their heads from left & right as fast as they could & then later the film was speeded up during editing. It created a cool effect. The actor said it was hard to keep from laughing while being filmed, though, not to mention hard to keep from getting a headache. Here, it was a very serious scene & they knew how super silly they must have looked shaking their heads back & forth while trying to stay in serious character mode.... kinda like what you described earlier..... feels silly, but looks cool.

It is a great song - did you see this one (So You Think You Can Dance finale). Like the little inflection he throws in at around 1:32. (interesting outfit too 8) )

Hmmm, wonder what's with the black roses on his suit shoulder? I don't care what others think, I think he's a breath of fresh air in a stale pop/rock/glam music world. He's got a great voice and I find him entertaining to watch too. 8) LOL, was laughing at some of the female comments on the youtubes.........."I think I have a crush on a gay man"..........."he's gay, but yet so darn sexy".

I don't have the album yet (on my xmas list) so I haven't heard all the songs. I heard there is one he co-wrote with Pink, is that it?

That's the one - but I don't think he co-wrote - it's her song and she 'gave' it to him for his album.

I didn't care for the stuff on his suit (roses?) but of course I loved the song.... & yes, that little inflection at 1:32 was nice.

OT: Hutch, were you happy with the outcome of SYTYCD? Russell is a good dancer, but I was really pulling for Jakob. He was fantastic IMO. I was torn between him & Legacy but once Legacy got eliminated it was no contest for me. As for Russell winning, it was good to see in the sense that he was the underdog for SO long & you could tell he really wanted it.
