Anyone who isn't moved by this movie(especially the beach scene), even you testosterone macho guys, isn't fucking human.....my contacts need windshield wipers.

And the macho men can save the lame-o comments....

The only more emotional scene in movie history is when Sam, Merry and Pippin go see Frodo in Rivendell after he throws the ring into the fires of Mordor.... :P

I saw this movie in the theater. There were three young girls
sitting down the row from us talking, texting and lighting the place up
with their phones for the first 30 min of the movie. I finally
bent over and told them if they wanted to carry on a conversation
to go to the lobby. Didn't hear a peep out of them the rest of the movie,
but they acted really pissed when I started sobbing, snorting and flinging
snot everywhere!!! Cameron Diaz did a great job in that movie!!!

Watched it this weekend. Definitely a tearjerker in places, and, yes, especially the beach scene.

You're right. I never said it's not manly to cry. But a sissy film is different than a Clint Eastwood movie where he dies.

How do you know that my sister's keeper is a sissy film?? I haven't seen it and probably won't because I don't like to cry in movies. Real life is drama enough for me :P And so guys can cry when other guys die, but that's it?That's not gay at All, you're right

Well, B, the scene he was talking about crying was a father sitting on the beach with his little girl, who was dying. He checked her out of the hospital b/c she wanted to spend a day on the beach, and he was determined to give her her last wish. She died not long after. I am sure as a father you might have shed a tear at that scene too.

there you go being a dumbass again :)
we weren't talking about gay or not. We were talking about less manly. ;)
having tears watching Clint Eastwood , one of the best actors of all time , die , is not gay or less manly. It's connection with not just the character , but the guy we have loved for decades reaching the end. Watching him giving his best , thinking this could be his last movie ever. The way he builds up the character to the point where all your hatred towards the old man turns into love.
Other sissy shit don't make me cry regardless of the story. It's cause the acting is normally too poor for me to get into the story. It makes me sad , but then the poor acting reminds me it's just a show , hence no tears.

That's one of the reasons I didn't cry when the cartoonist stopped drawing the deer when Bambis mom died

Now go watch sisterhood of poopypants :)
