The Middle Aged Housewives Rick Springfield Thread

Postby StevePerryHair » Sat Jan 02, 2010 1:13 am

Okay, saw him December 30th, Tampa,FL, and there is just NO WAY this man is 60! He sounded great, though towards the end you could tell his voice was struggling. He played a few songs from his new album, which I highly recommend. Great audience interaction and he walked into the audience several times climbing on chairs to get to different people. Great concert!

WISH Andrew could get him for MRfest.

It is unbelievable to me still that he's a year older than my father

Was a fun show, my favorite parts were when he introduced himself by saying "I'm Rick f**king Springfield!", and when he held the mic up to some chick to sing, and she sounded HORRID  and he yelled "Oh my God! How can something pretty sound that BAD!"

Well, he's a year younger than my mom too, but I refuse to think of him that way

Cool pics, Lynn; sounds like ya'll had a great time. What kind of venue is that? Looks like he's standing right there with you.

BTW, since the star of the show has a couple of decades on you and is still rockin', I'm pretty sure it's okay for you guys to forego the bingo games and craft fairs to attend.

It was the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa. They had an "event tent" outside which was really nice! Its had sides and heaters and it was a great set up. I'm thinking seats for 600 - 900 people? Great intimate venue! We were in the 11th row, but 2 women came up to my friend and me and gave us their ticket stubs to go up to the fourth row for the last song. Which was nice since we were celebrating my friend's bday, so it was a great gift for her. He has such a mix of ages in his audience, but he attracts an older crowd too because of his "General Hospital" days

Wow, he is sexy. Definitely muscles on that man. And he looks the same facewise, just a little older. Some men that age hardly resemble the men they were in their early thirties. He looks so much like his younger photos.

No he's not! And one of my favorite albums was Tao and most people never even heard of it or it's songs. MAYBE Celebrate Youth, but doubt people know the album. I really love his newest album though. He modernized it but still stayed true to his own sound.
