Very moving Stu. Dean would be proud I am sure. You captured Dean in all his many shades. Thank you for sharing. It's helpful for those of us that could not make it.

Man, that was awesome. I loved every second of it. I'm glad you spoke from the heart, Stu. That's where the best of the best comes from and you more than delivered. Fantastic. Also loved hearing from Dean's daughter. Her describing Dean and his love for all sports and Journey gave me a nice chuckle. Can't wait to see more.

Stu,

Thanks for sharing the link for the service. Your words were heartfelt and well spoken. I appreciate you covering us folks that did not have the pleasure of meeting Dean in person but did get to interact with him here. He was one of the funniest bassturds to ever walk the planet so thanks for mentioning that in your speech. It's taken a lot of your resources to cover Dean's memorial and I for one appreciate it. It was a pleasure for my son and me to meet you and your wife at MF1. I really appreciate you sharing Dean's service with us here. I felt a real connection with Dean and his humor; he will be sorely missed here by me.

Best regards mate,

Aaron

If he did Andrew...then there would be another REAL memorial service immediately following the call...or as long as it took for me to get to California.

Beautiful, beautiful job Stu! I had tears flowing, then you cracked me up with the "tape" comment. How the hell do you laugh and cry at the same time. Was nice to hear the minister talk about his love of the outdoors/camping etc too. We had a few conversations about BC and how beautiful it was, he seemed to know all the great camping spots. He seemed geniunely surprised that I'd never done a 'Rockies by Rail' excursion, especially living so close, said it was something I DEFINITELY had to do. Gawd, my heart goes out to Lu and the kids.

Stu you did a wonderful job, so proud of you! Dean would be proud too. I'm sure if he could have somehow tied your shoelaces together while you were giving his eulogy, he would have surely done it!
Thanks for sharing your words and thanks to Lula for allowing you to share the service with the rest of us that couldn't be there. I'm so glad you were able to make it!

For the first few days I kept waiting for (or maybe hoping for...) Dean to pop up and go "got'cha fuckers!" It didn't seem real to me until I saw the online guestbook. And even now, the avatar that you and B are both using, when I see that over on the left, I just see the toad guy and sometimes I expect it to be Dean posting - I know that's weird but... well there it is. Watching the youtube now, Stu... and still kind of not believing it. :?

Such a beautiful and heartfelt eulogy, Stu. Thank you for being there for all of us who were wishing we could be there, too. I could barely watch this even now. I don't know how you did it.

Like everyone else, I cannot believe I won't be getting anymore messages or calls from Dean. He was a very complicated man but one of the most intelligent and passionate people that I have ever known. I will never forget the first time we met face-to-face at a Journey concert. Cyndy and I had an instant bond with him that never was never broken. He was the best and there will always be a place in my heart for him.

Just amazing, Stu. Eloquent and beautiful words. When you grieve about someone you felt you knew for years because you saw thousands of posts on this website and you look for that final sense of closure, this video was it. Thank you for letting everyone at the service know about all of us around the world who laughed so much (sometimes laugh so hard it brought me to tears) because of Dean. Thanks for posting. Well done.

Your words were amazing Stu. The brothers and sisters part reminded me of the times in his messages he told me "You're like a baby sister!". His grown children seem so strong. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Remarkable job, Stu ...emotional, touching words. I'm sure it was equally
difficult reliving these moments as you share them w/us.
Thank you, as VMV stated ^^^, for providing us our sense
of closure.

Same here. I have this weird feeling that he's just MIA, as in "he took a vacation from MR" like he did many times before. It's too unreal to imagine that he's not alive anymore.
Thank you for posting the video, Stu. Your words were truly from the heart and I'm glad you didn't go "tape"...lol...As you said, Dean would have hated it. :)

My prayers go out to his entire family. The only consolation is that Dean is still alive through them.

Good work. What an incredibly difficult thing to have to do. You did his memory proud. Great job working the "tape" line in. Dean would have been proud. I especially enjoyed listening to his daughter talk about him and the great dad he was. This is all still so incredibly sad. I keep signing onto this board, looking for a post from Dean, only to be let down.

Stu thank you. What a beautiful speach. Still can't believe Deano is not here. I didn't know him as well as most here but I so looked forward to his insight on things. Thank you again Stu for sharing this.
