What was the last full album that you listened to?

Postby Archetype » Tue Sep 04, 2012 12:25 pm

You started it and listened to it to the end with no interruptions. I just finished doing this for the first time in a few years. Really enjoyed it. The album was Mercy Falls by Seventh Wonder

You might like Seventh Wonder if you're into Dream Theater

When you say "albums" I assume you're talking about your CD's, right? If you're anything like me, my CD's haven't seen their original cases since the day I bought them DOH!! As a result, they become scratched to Hell and unreadable by any player. A few years ago, I discovered Plastix by Maguiar's car care products. It's actually designed for removing the yellow haze and scratches on plastic headlight lenses. But, in the list of uses printed on the back, it says "Great for removing scratches from CD's!" Hmm.... I wonder...
So I pawed through a stack of disks and found the worst, nastiest one that I already knew wasn't able to be read (STYX Paradise Theater, as a matter of fact... ) squeezed a little bit onto a cloth and went to town. I was pretty skeptical about it actually working but it did! I was amazed. A few seconds into the first song, it started skipping so I repeated the process but this time I took my time and made sure I was applying it evenly. After a couple of minutes I wiped the disk clean with a clean microfiber towel and BAM! No skips and all the CD's that I've "restored" with Plastix work perfectly and can be read instantly when I pop them into a player. Good stuff!
It's about 6 bucks at WalMart and it's available everywhere you would find Maguiar's products.

but you probably were thinking something a couple steps of from it.

I have a bunch of vintage (70's - 80's) audio equipment that I pick up at yard sales and Craig's List when people are selling it at a price I just can't pass up. I'll PM you with the info on the turntables I have. And, don't worry.... I sella you cheap! You buy! You buy!
