I saw Kong. Fun, but shlocky. May have more re-watch value than the Jackson one. Ghost in the Shell I will try to see next.

Actually, they aren't. Somebody wrote that they heard from somebody connected to the production dept. that the trailer is misleading, i.e. there is a lot less humor in the movie than one anticipates.

There will be no danceoff's. No clear-cut crutch that is evidently there only to keep a STRING of laugh's going for the sake of keeping laughs going in any DCEU films. Humor is fine and they will probably come in the forms of downbeating in between what is likely to be heavy action, but it won't be forced, overused, oddly placed or more importantly, OVERBEARING. From the sounds of it, Justice League still sticks to DC's mantra of being serious in tone. I DIG IT.

If you recall, that's exactly what BvS got hammered for after the Doomsday reveal. But the trailer still didn't blow every major beat.

Yessir. That Doomsday and Trinity reveal were the results of fanboy WHINING about the prior trailers being "too dark" and "edgy". WB has gone through the unfair RINGER of being blamed for doing two things the haters can never seem to agree on so I'm glad they didn't give into fanboy whining this time around or else the Justice League trailer would have been released back in December and we probably would have much more footage from the movie by now and overdoing it. They must learn from that Doomsday trailer from last year. Even with all of that, I STILL don't know how they kept Superman's death underwraps the entire time. That was some damn good ninja-work going on behind the scenes.

Bahahaha! Those women have class. Wait a minute...didn't she mean to say the Black Widow film?

Agreed. Fun popcorn flick. Should make for a good Godzilla vs. King Kong movie. I wonder if they will have a Martha moment. Lol

NICOLE KIDMAN Confirms Return TO DC Movies & Her Role
“The reason why I love [Aquaman] is James Wan is an Australian, and I’ve followed his career since he started. He’s a really good friend of mine, and he offered to let me play Queen Atlanna,” said Kidman. “As soon as he said I could wear mother-of-pearl and be a mermaid warrior, I said I’m done. Please. If there is one thing I have to do in my life, I have to be that. [Laughs] Because, you’ve got to have some fun.

I don't get the "uh-oh" part. All she's saying is she was able to use some ideas she had originally planned for another movie. Stuff like this happens all the time in filmmaking.

She also says Wonder Woman is the movie she always wanted to make, anyway. And look what happened to The Dark World after she left.

Yawp. Patty left via "creative differences" which means the MCU wasn't interested in allowing her to deviate from their formulaic "play it safe as a whistle" approach to their films. Patty also said Zack was a HUGE collaborator and some of the films theme's took inspiration from Superman: The Movie as well. In a nutshell, it's Patty's film. Something that didn't take place over at Marvel Studio's so it's a moot point.

Wow, that sucks. According to the same site, it lags behind every other Superhero movie released in Spring/Summer 2016, except Xmen.

Deadpool, BvS, CA:Civil War...all of them are ahead of it.

How does that suck? It was one of the top-selling home video releases out of 100 titles. And we don't know much it's made additionally via digital and streaming.

Of course BvS and Civil War would sell more. I'd expect them to, being "event" films.

X-Men: Apocalypse is also an "event" film, but it failed to generate much heat. Deadpool was an unexpected success, but it's offset by the underwhelming response to Apocalypse.

Top Film critic of the LATimes admits, and I quote:

"DC fans think Marvel pays off journalists and critics for positive coverage when all they do is kiss a little ass from time to time. Marvel piled reporters with booze and offered looks at their new projects. This isn't a criticism at Marvel. It's criticism of DC. Marvel shows how easy this shit really is. Marvel movies aren't much better, they just don't tweet box office numbers and go "See, fans rule, critics drool."

So there you have it. Snyder and DC/WB kissed the critics ASS for Justice League after BvS so we'll see if it helps

There is it: booze. That's clearly the only way anyone would ever think Thor: The Dark World, Iron Man 3 and Ant-Man are "awesome" movies.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has been reportedly involved with Aquaman for months, but he has now confirmed his role as Black Manta.

The actor took to Twitter to finally reply to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s previous congratulatory tweet.

http://batman-news.com/2017/04/19/joss-whedon-confirms-batgirl/

Variety caught up with Joss Whedon at the premiere of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 tonight, and he confirmed that he’s making Batgirl!

Whedon said he doesn’t have anyone in mind of the role yet — he’s busy creating his version of the character — working on the script. But it seems like Whedon isn’t interested in casting a big movie star.

“I’m not against movie stars, they’re great. But you need somebody who’s going to be just right. In a situation like this, the name [Batgirl] carries a lot of weight, so it’s not as critical”, Whedon said.

Interesting that Whedon thinks Batgirl is a fat chick.

Saw the preview. It looks like it has potential. However, if all it is going to be is political commentary, it will die a slow and boring death like "The Expanse".

https://www.comicbookmovie.com/suicide_squad/suicide-squad-is-now-ahead-of-batman-v-superman-and-captain-america-civil-war-in-home-media-sales-a150550

According to reports, Suicide Squad has now surpassed Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Captain America: Civil War and Deadpool in terms of both Blu-Ray and DVD sales. The movie has now already sold 1.6 million Blu-Ray copies and 971,026 DVD copies, while Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has sold 1.5 million Blu-Ray copies and 619,096 DVD copies, and that has been out on home entertainment since last July.

In terms of earnings, Suicide Squad has already made a whopping $49.6 million in Blu-Ray sales pulling in ahead of the $39.1 million made from Batman v Superman within the same timespan.

Meanwhile, Suicide Squad is also ahead of fellow comic book movies Captain America: Civil War and Deadpool in home media sales. In comparison, Captain America: Civil War made $46.4 million in Blu-Ray sales within the same time period and Deadpool made $46.8 million. Do keep in mind that all of these comparisons are only taking into account the first four weeks of home entertainment sales, so it looks like Suicide Squad will finish ahead of all of these comic book movies.

The first season of Expanse was above average. I got bored of the second season because they are now diving into this political intrigue/suspense stuff, which I do not have patience for and find boring. You basically have four storylines going on at the same time, Earth vs. Mars...and each has a set of characters on a story arc. Then you got the belters...again, you got a set of characters and another story arc. Then there is the crew of the Rocinotre(or whatever their ship's name is) who are trying to stay neutral between all of the above...and they also have their own story arc. It's just more than I want to try to keep track of for a TV show.

I'd rather watch Dark Matter.

If Krypton keeps that type of politics to a minimum, it could be a good show.

Sounds like the first season, plus a little more. BSG detailed the interactions between those on the command ship, then the Cylons, then political stuff (Zarek, etc.) and personal relationships. They held it together.
