K2-Book of the Dead.....singer sounds a lot like Peter Gabriel...what really floats my boat on this album is the amazing guitar playing of my hero...Mr Allan Holdsworth....he is just too good. Some cool violin on this album too.

My AOTW goes to that awesome Swedish AOR act, Coastline and their multi-billion selling "S/T" debut. Whatever happened to their guitarist anyway? I hear he's been on chinese food binges lately. :P

My AOTW goes to Lisa Hartman "Til My Heart Stops." Quite possibly the only good album the actress ever recorded. Some pop aspects, but is very AOR in the style of Patty Smyth.

MY AOW is Biomechanical-The Empires of the World. This is Pantera meets Priest with film score music thrown in every now and again.
The vocalist is crazy. He does the best Phil Anselmo impersonation i have ever heard and then the next minute he can do the best Geoff Tate impersonation i have ever heard...wow.

I love 'I saw red' and 'Blind Faith' though........'I saw red' in particular reminds me of a girl I was in love with once. Good memories, it was more the circumstances in which I heard the song, rather than the song itself. :)

Thats right doggy....a superb job he did too....all in his 'Tate voice'. Unfortunately he ditched BoP...now they have Corey Brown from Magnitude 9 out front.

It really is a 'Tate' voice isn't it. Heathen Machine made me really sit up and listen.

My AOTW is Signs of Life from Poets of The Fall. I really like it, and for some reason it really reminds me of Jim Croce. :?

Sounds like some fun reading! I'm about to get a book about UFO - Shoot Out The Lights, I saw it on ebay a while back. Guess there are some horrible stories to read!

KINO-Picture.....good stuff by this UK 'prog supergroup'. Love John Mitchell's voice/guitar playing. Got the special edition with a 4 song live dvd that is really good too.

A close contender for second place and winner of album to crank in car award is Russell Allen-Atomic Soul..... pure 70's rock...and goddam that boy can sing.

AOTW is Steelhouse Lane "Slaves of the New World." Great friggin' tunes on this title.

My AOTW is Spock's beard - Feel Euphoria......my first go at this band, and it really is good stuff! More melodic, and mostly more mellow than I expected, some of the melodies are really quite beautiful.

Tali: I have Russell Allen's Atomic Soul on the way......he is quite prolific isn't he? Along with this one he has 'The battle' as well as the new Symphony X......
